A korean romance without love rivals, smart MC who’s by no mean inferior to the god like (but very flawed) ML, it’s fun cute and sometimes a bit deep - it has a lot of nice and strong values and a wholesome way to consider problems There’s a bit of a traumatic event there and - as often -i believe you could have had the same story without that exotic extreme experience , but the drama around the consequences is smartly played - still wished for something more relatable as a trigger for that family disfunction It was a very pleasant read

39 - end of s1 - that’s hell of a long introduction ? It’s not boring, but not much happens, so maybe wait for end of s2 to read more?

69 - 4.5 - very nice intro (except for the chapter 0 chapter 0 is a « in media res », which doesn’t feel so great, is hard to understand and reveals too much, as we still haven’t caught up at chapter 31 - I’d suggest to skip it, but if not, it’s important to know that the MC is not an evil green tea b*Tch - she absolutely has reasons for whatever she does in that intro, as we discover later : there’s no way she could do otherwise she’s smart, and uses everything she can despite her fears It’s really nice that she’s pretty realistic in that aspect, she shakes and fries when things are scary and hard, but she also buckle up and face troubles head on I absolutely love how women are proficient in many ways in the story, go team maid and go Mc :D ! The pace is good, the universe is a bit interesting and the people from the castle are really nice It’s good entertainment and it just leaves you craving for mooore !! 96 - 4.5 - it starts akin to solo leveling, yet there seems to be some team building There’s a very weak goal (surviving and be confortable) that will grow into caring for his friends and some family wellbeing, even at the risk of his own life. The cast is interesting, the world beyond the novel and the recognition of the possibility to change is good, lastly the fact that he will recognize that people are people and not book characters is truly refreshing. There’s an abundance of characters, powers, and lots of plot dynamics ( families infighting, hunter growth and rivalry, villains, etc), it doesn’t feel as 2D as most dungeons stories as the world isn’t centered around just one character The pace is good, it’s entertaining so far - the encounters provide for a richer universe than many dungeons on earth stories, and despite the MC boring /fashionable selfish/lazy talk, he is in fact hard working and smart, which is more entertaining Lastly the rich boy thing is not overused and the universe is not deeply evil (the gods are not purely selfish trickers , for exemple, they seem quite benevolent) -i also appreciate the slow growth, there are many more stronger people out there As a flaw, i’d think the rich character cast could be seen more, we’d like to know how thing go with more of them (the broken brother, the person he searched whose family disappeared, the seawitch girl who supports her kin , and even his bodyguards could be even better with a few snapshots at their life …) Maybe it would be time for writers to realize the slaving to work is indeed bad, but it’s not only full filling but a real need to improve onself and grow - outside of sick competition and greed or survival drives https://www.novelupdates.com/series/trapped-in-a-webnovel-as-a-good-for-nothing/

58 - 3.5 - it’s a story about a know it all with a bad personality, and what he doesn’t want So far the pace is good, the beasts are super cute - unlike the mc The great thing is that it doesn’t scream harem ! As for the story … maybe we’ll know later, but i doubt it will follow the initial plan (do nothing and live peacefully) ? Sadly, the MC is really unpleasant, he wants to hoard the powers that should belong to the heroes and use them for his benefit — he becomes the boss of the novel’s characters and only behave on selfish interests It happens to bring good things, but the narrative is still very ugly and lacking and he’s mostly plotting and manipulating according to a irrealistic number of information he would recall from reading a mere novel (how good is his memory ?) 19 - 3.5 - meh, full of stereotypes and probably quite predictable yet enjoyable

25 - 4.5 - fast paced, the mix of past and present makes for a an interesting tale, not too original but pretty cool I dislike the Too many potential suitors and the super dense MC, I’d rather she get herself a harem instead of breaking the heart of any of them I’m not so fond of her type of personality ( she’s too cool and expressionless, it reminds me of lego batman, it’s a bit ridiculous) but overall it’s quite entertaining

27 - i just dropped it , it makes me angsty - it’s not really bad, and i really loved the beginning, but i hate love triangles, even more so both potential lovers are both pathetic yandere psychos , this is disturbing The black haired boy seem to be a miserable second lead, he’s so pathetic it’s already painful Both of them are pitiful in their own way, and that made me crave for more « normal » , like not necessarily totally normal, but at least no child abuse, and no more sociopath : why is it so hard to find ?
