C87 - What a surprise, the characters are rich and multidimentionnal, there’s no real stupid vilain, and everyone has their reasons. It’s also surprisingly deep at places and the female characters are really not pale compared to the male (so rare !). Appart from few silly episodes, the plot is having good measure of mystery and tension, it’s certainly doesn’t feel very deep, but it’s enough to feel satisfied, the character developpement and interactions being way enough to fill the pages. If that was not enough, it’s also truly a feast for the eyes

117 - it’s a manhua I could have missed on the account of its very bad title and the revenge thematic, that’s usually dreadful - lucky i still tried ! It’s absolutely smart with a very elegant and graceful art This one is a gem, it has a revenge underline, but it’s not too bothersome, it’s smart and doesn’t ruin the plot- maybe because protecting is more important - the characters are very defined, the pace is slow, yet it feels very rich and you can’t get bored The MC is a very interesting porcupine and the ML is a still mysterious and a bit of a lonely character Everything is very mesured and poised, both the story telling and the art complement each others in a splendid way - the only flaw would be how knowledgeable the MC is , honestly she must have been reborn more than one time to know that much, but so far, it has not diminished the reading pleasure. I seriously hope it wont turn into a blood bath later on, and i’m also not keen ont the main characters always becoming emperors / empress, there’s no peace, not freedom in these lifestyles, so i hope we stay clear from this path No matter what, at least these hundred and some chapters he great quality

14 - refreshingly unique ! Our MC seems pretty oblivious to the danger of a world that aims for BL to be supreme, even if she realized a major problem : how do male couples have children ? By borrowing from their kins : a sister like her ! 20 - 4.5 - so far excellent characters, good plot and good storytelling It’s very violent for my own taste and i don’t know if they can keep up the story without becoming repetitive and boring (so much has been written about vampires) But as of 20 chapters, it’ excellent The mc is very interesting - she’s physically strong, but i had a hard time adding « strong female lead », she’s strong all right, but she’s mostly humane and her questions & doubts defines her more than her power She’s very 3d in very few pages -

11 - i hate historical, dark stories, there’s no chance of happy ending, and it’s harsh Well that one has all of this, but it’s splendid and we’ll written Not for a bad day, and not as a lullaby, once on a while, when you’re searching for a great book - don’t miss on that one

S2 31 - i opened once and then skipped as the first chapter put me off, but it’s really excellent so far (s1) I like the discovery and the spunk of the MC who decisively chose to have a life between the lines There’s magic and poetry in that first season, in the quest for heart beats and a true love out of her free will S2 brings a lot of hopelessness and could honestly be shorter, but there’s also a carpe diem vibe that’s meaningful It could have been perfect if shorter, i’m not sure of the intentions of the writer with the struggles of the side characters, but it add despair without meaning in an already hard story that at least made sense The life we live on, has some things we could not change, a background, obligations, some encounters, some life accidents, death … so we are a bit like these characters… hopefully with more freedom What made sense for these awaken being was the freedom and what they did with it - it is profoundly grasped by the mc and 13, but i don’t know about the others… maybe it also tells that this awareness is a cure to some (13/mc), yet a curse to most , and it set the philosophy of that story on a difficult edge because us humans tend to be aware… We don’t have a choice to « reset » and forget, but it also shows how much the focus of our awareness makes a difference in the way we live, enjoy life, and make the best with it … Thankfully there’s a happy ending, it’s rather on the short side and make you wish for more
