the screenshots made this look like straight up porn so imagine my surprise when they attempted (shoddy) worldbuilding and plot. thus far the top is not endearing and i don't understand why the bottom has a thing for him. does he have a humiliation fetish or smth? wish i could say at least it has sex going for it but just slamming two stiff muscley dudes together does not a hot scene make. if you want to actively fan yourself, see 'love in orbit'.

this took me an awful long time to read. nothing seemed to have happened in 10 years btwn the end of season 2 and the side stories! illic and the duke still have the same dispositions and relationship dynamic. i kinda thought maybe illic might learn about the duke's mental illness and work out how it fits with things going forward with this new context (perhaps together with the duke), or the duke might be less controlling and obsessive and be a bit more experimental to see if things could be enjoyable for the both of them. NO. the duke seemed a bit sad that he couldn't be in a mutual relationship, so why didn't he work harder to try and make it happen?? i had to reflect hard on myself and realize i don't wanna be like them. the sex wasn't that great, the story execution was really weak, the pacing was difficult, and their "relationship" is depressing. getting a glimpse of the duke's pov was the most interesting part of the story. the art is so good, i wanna see the style get paired with a compelling story and for an manhwa equivalent of an intimacy coordinator to provide guidance to optimizing the horny bc this was not it.
