Legendary Youngest Son of the Marquis House
Pretty fun. Jack likes to border between calculating genius and uncaring madman. Tells his friends about the regression, spills prophecies like they're yesterday's news, and seemingly decides on murder or spewing nonsense based on a coin toss. I do wish Ron got to stick around for longer, but this kind of story very rarely lets male characters develop too much of a relationship.
I Obtained A Mythic Item
Usually you only get to pick one, but this time we have both OP ability/item and return to the past. Not huge on the other characters here, it's mostly 2 annoying girls one of which is your typical boob pocket wearing mary sue. Mc's looks and personality are pretty good, and the skills he gets are interesting. He can copy abilities while disabling any penalty and cancel magic, although he doesn't make full use of either yet. His martial arts experience sounds like it could be useful in developing a different fighting style than just standing there and casting different coloured magic projectiles. EDIT: Lowkey a harem. It's unfortunate for a good series to get ruined like this, but yeah it's what you'd expect. You know MC would be better off alone but he still carries the chicks and they get way more credit than they deserve for doing the bare minimum.
Academy’s Undercover Professor
Quite enjoyable. I feel bad for original Rudiger but the plot hinges on MC stealing an identity so it couldn't be helped. He's a cool guy, no funny business with a side of lacking any fucks to give. Just accepts that this is his life now and commits to the role. Hot too. The double spy plot isn't my cup of tea although I can see the appeal, more interested in his teaching career tbh.
The Novel’S Extra
Slow start that earns it's 5* rating as it goes on. MC is servicable, so are the side characters. He has his moments (particularly in comedy) but the main appeal is going to be the all around plot. Original novel seems fairly interesting based on what we've seen and MC's powers are pretty all encompassing which makes you curious on what he'll do next.
Player Who Returned 10,000 Years Later
I like stories where the MC comes back from somewhere all OP and causes havoc, this is pretty much that. Comedy is above average too. After 10,000 years surrounded by demons anyone would gain a wonky moral compass. So MC makes some questionable albeit funny decisions. We're not actually told what all of his powers are which keeps you guessing. Not exactly plot heavy but what's there works well enough and the gate/combat stuff is just not generic enough for MC to do the heavy lifting in keeping your attention.
Damn Reincarnation
Cool MC. Side characters are more on the robust side. Plot is very good although not top tier. MC bulldozing his way through most problems is pretty fun, and he's still intelligent to spice things up. Fairly detailed explanations on how he's getting stronger beyond raw stats because there's no game system. His uncle is to die for.
Genius of the Unique Lineage
Concept is great, too little chapters to judge. Decent comedy and that's about it. Starts off on a training arc I guess because they wanted OP MC but didn't want reincarnation or established position. EDIT: Gets really good after he gets accepted and goes to civil servant boot camp, although he still hides his power to an extent. EDIT 2: Not digging the work arc as much. His team are all massive pricks, and even if he's strong for a newbie he's nowhere near the manager's level, and we all know nobody reads this to watch MC get his ass kicked. EDIT 3: They're trying to cash in on solo leveling demographic while writing black clover. No OP MC just him being treated like shit with a thought bubble sometimes about how he has potential. You've spread yourself out too thin bro pick one and stick to it.
Existence
Pain incarnate. He's certainly OP but also trash at protecting people he cares about. Probably gonna commit genocide in the near future but I kinda just want him to settle down with a friend or something... EDIT: Such a disappointment, it had all the makings of something incredible and then squandered that potential. He loses his powers for a while, when he gets them back he still feels weaker, the plot with the steer struggles to maintain interest and momentum. EDIT 2: Not really worth reading The longer it goes on the more disappointed you'll end up being.
My School Life Pretending To Be a Worthless Person
Good shit good shit. Hides his power and acts somewhat meek but he's not a weakling that just takes it. Has a little bit of snark and actually dodges sometimes when people try to hit him. Has unknown reasons to stay in the school for superpowered people even though he keeps his spot as the weakest. When he uses his power he turns in to a bloodthirsty maniac and he actually uses this in front of people if need be. EDIT: If I get hit with one more cliffhanger I'll be hanging by the neck instead. Then again, I'm so addicted any chapter ending would probably be a cliffhanger to me. EDIT 2: Dropped. I've left rating and such mostly unchanged but ONLY for season 1. Season 2 is like a different series it's terrible.
Is this Hunter for Real?
