Fated mates! When an Omegaverse story brings together a fated pair like Haru (omega) and Renji (alpha) it’s beyond wonderful. Renji recognised Haru as his destined one from the moment he saw him as a youth in his home. The trouble was his family would never accept an omega for the scion of their house, so Reiji forged a different path to claim Haru. Added to that, his jealous brother Eiji also loved Haru, and he took Reiji’s time away as opportunity to make Haru believe Reiji didn’t want him and to pursue him for himself. When Reiji returns, ready to claim Haru, he had to deal with his brother and Haru’s feelings for Eiji. What I loved most about this was that we all saw Reiji as the kind and loving person that Haru saw. But as the story progressed came the realisation that Reiji was actually a scary, ruthless man whose only light was Haru. An intensely possessive and protective alpha who still believed his love needed the freedom to choose his destiny, and choose who and when he mated is about perfect. Great story.

Utsumi and Sasabi’s story was a bit of a grind. Whilst I can enjoy reading stories with angst and obstacles to overcome, too much of this one resulted from the stupid decisions of Sasabi. He lowered himself to be sexually used for work despite having many other options. He rushed to bond with someone he barely knew knowing he loved someone else. Irritating and weak. Another thing that made the story a grind was the constant inclusion of Karasuba and Takaga and their continued romance. Firstly, because all the long haired guys looked so damn similar that I would be comparing suits and ties to try differentiate between them in a conversation. The mangaka needs to practice different looks for her MCs... Secondly, because their lovemaking and romance totally overshadowed the MCs story. I usually love seeing familiar faces from previous stories, but so much was interwoven here that the story lost its pace and the characters were diminished. Save extra chapters that are that intrusive and long for their own manga’s extras. 3 volumes of grind. I am happy with the ending, but a few pages of “I love you” don’t go far for making up the mind numbing, endless grind of dullness that preceded it.

A world of beast/ human hybrids living in tribes with one gender and low birth rates? Awesome! I loved the concept and Kin (omega of the housecat tribe) and Kumo (alpha of the mountain wolf tribe) were great. I thought that it was perfect to have all the little babies. From Tou who grew up to have his own romance, to his 6 little siblings who were given away like weaned kittens to families with love to spare. That was such a surprise, yet it also was so generous and part of being a rare omega capable of giving birth to so many with an alpha partner. No wonder omegas are treasured, it really was a unique idea. I also loved all the sexy scenes and appreciate the uncensored art. Overall, an entertaining and different story that was fun to read with lots of cute babies.

Single omega parent with a history of being a delinquent who slept with anyone and an alpha kindergarten owner with a history of raping his best friend when a teen (alpha first exposed to omega). Both characters carry the wounds of their past that shape their present. Is their love enough to forge a future together? The story was a nice read, not one I would read again but it had plenty of sweet moments and little omega’s babies.

Short n sweet, fast paced, and a whole lot of sexy fun. Serious faced Ikeya (alpha) is the boss at work and an exclusive bottom in the bedroom. Or at least he would be if he ever found a lover. New office trainee Yuuhei is a delicate looking omega with the drive and dedication to work hard and succeed. Distrusting of his new alpha boss, he nonetheless works hard and even puts in overtime. Which leaves him with his boss alone in the office when his heat hits. And we all know what happens to an omega when they are stranded with an alpha when their heat hits... Well...you’re wrong! Read this and find out. The only thing it needs to score better is more chapters.

Lovely, sweet story with a touch of sad heartache for the lonely Tama (alpha). Uchiumi (Omega) picks up a stray cat on his drunken way back home one night. Only it wasn’t a cat but a beautiful man wearing car ears. Tama, with his many cat like qualities, would wander in and out of Uchiumi‘s home and life, and other times he would be staying with other men he was having sex with. I thought that Uchiumi was so sweetly nurturing and protective towards the alpha and you could see him falling for the beautiful man. But there were some deep emotional wounds from the past that needed to be resolved before Tama could trust in love. And Uchiumi was just the guy to give him the loving push he needed to leave. Really, something in this was so sweet, despite the translation being beginner level (appreciated it though, ty translator).

A great Omegaverse story that had some lovely messages that fit the plot and didn’t sound contrived. Like not being limited by your gender and being your authentic self. Which, given that idol Mitsuo was an omega passing himself off as a beta in the public eye, resonated well with his character as he fell for his new partner, alpha Seto, and was publicly outed. The romance between the younger kouhei Seto and Mitsuo was sexy and sweet. Uncensored and pretty artwork and likeable MCs, this was a winner.

Bitten Til I Melt: Takeshi (alpha) and Yoshihisa (omega) have been best friends since school and dating for 6 years. Despite not being a Destiny Pairing, they are happy together as best friends and lovers. But Yoshihisa has always worried what would happen if Takeshi met his Destiny Pair. Would what they have stand up to destiny? And then Yoshihisa had an unexpected heat with Takeshi and still no proposal. All just before the Destined Partner turned up. What happens now? Adorable, fluffy story complete with babies. Short but wholesome (except for the sexy scenes lol, they were spicy). Fulfilling My Needs With You: Music genius and slightly sadistic playboy Fumiya hooks up with salaryman Seijiro for a night of fun. The serious Seijiro is a little overwhelmed to have had his first experience with a man and to have picked up the glowing man he saw on stage, and made breakfast for Fumiya. Perhaps food is the way to a mans heart. That or the incredible sex he continues with Fumiya as he steadily falls for the younger guy. But then Fumiya is called away by his career and Seijiro misses his chance to follow his dreams. Will he get another? This was a lot sweeter than I anticipated considering Fumiya was called a “super sadistic fuck anyone bitch” and starting with a one night stand.

This story was the kind of silly fun that has you snorting with laughter in public places. It blatantly broke tropes and had a lot of fun doing so. Yokomichi (omega) loved alpha’s, but when they found out he was an exclusive top, they dropped the petite and angelic looking business man like a ticking bomb. New company president Karasuma-san makes an impact on Yokomichi with his alpha perfection and the infatuated omega is in hot pursuit of the innocently clueless alpha. What follows is adorable and fun, full of loveable idiots, resentful Arabs, strange livestock and a money grabbing best friend who is worth every cent.

Trigger warning: Rape and emotional trauma A surprisingly powerful story that packs a lot into 5.5 chapters. This starts off lightly with workaholic salaryman Shoma Otsuki (omega), who is flung unwillingly into plans for an arranged marriage by his concerned mom. Stumbling home drunk one evening, Shoma is helped by a vagabond young alpha with a pretty face. Drunk inspiration has Shoma asking Kanata Tachibana to pretend to be his lover in order to deter his marriage candidate. That is the start of these two total opposites relationship. By living together they become close, but both need to work on relying on the other and honest communication. Then there are hate filled others and dark times to deal with. It’s not all smooth sailing but it’s real love for the MCs and the family they create together from such an unlikely beginning.
