You're My Princess
I fell in love with this the moment I read the blurb and it didn’t disappoint! How can anyone resist a tough guy with a soft spot for cats and cute kitty collectibles? I also loved how the seme looked like they should have been the princess and the uke but fit perfectly as a strong protector of a seme. Beautiful art too, aaaargh!! It was all just wonderful .
Brothers (YAMAMOTO Kotetsuko)
I loved this story with the little pocket sized uke who looks like a teen and his beautifully stoic new step brother. Contrary to some other reviewers I appreciated the pace of this manga. There was always a feeling that the English brother had some deep emotions stirring for his new sibling, but if they had acted on that sooner it would have trivialised their loss of their parents. After all, they had just met and become family. When the first stolen kisses were given it was so sweet, and when things fell apart I felt the pangs for sensei as he walked the silent house. It all made the eventual HEA so much sweeter. Beautiful artwork too, and I loved how Yamamoto Kotesuko drew the pretty and feminine friend and the beautiful yet masculine younger brother most particularly.
Ashita No Kimi Wa Koko Ni Inai
It was difficult to read this early on as sensei was so emotionally detached that I could only wonder why Mio persisted; in love or not. But once sensei talked of his reasons for keeping his distance and Mio convinced him of the lasting nature of his feelings, it became lovely and sweet and full of good feelings.
Koi To Wana
Loved these, especially the flower shop story (the manager was drawn amazingly well, especially the lips!). The main story grew on me, I loved most the extra chapter with the visit to “young master’s” home. That page where the guards came in the room cracked me up
Tsumaranai Otoko
Yamamoto Kotetsuko is so talented, I am amazed that there were so many feelings elicited in me from a handful of short stories. I usually avoid one shots because so many fail to have me caring about the MCs. I got teary over the rape story, not just for the uke’s horrific experience but for the seme’s reaction. I am often awestruck by the beautiful, expressive faces the author draws, I love their work and can highly recommend this manga.
Close the Last Door
One of the best manga ever! Honda and Nagai are soo adorable, I think they work together much more than Saitou and Nagai would. They have the intensity and sexual chemistry plus the ability to be their true selves with each other that makes them so perfectly imperfect a pair. I thought at first that Saitou is someone seen through rose tinted glasses as cute and helpless so there was no real depth to transition to lovers with Nagai. That was until he got his strongest seme title, tied Nagai up and mischievously meddled in the other couples romance. He definitely deserves his own romance, just not with Nagai. Anyway, awesome story. Plenty of laughs and loving. One to re-read many times.
Isso Mou, Kudokitai!
Two great stories! The second was better, not necessarily because I liked the characters more or their story premise, but because it had more chapters and was developed further. I would have liked a couple of extra chapters for the first two, too, perhaps showing the two of them continuing at home. With that sweetly assertive student seme and his older, virgin uke, the author could have had some fun. Opportunities missed :(
Love Neko
Totally fun stories! Necoco was such a wicked one, I loved his expressions with that devilish grin. When we met the creators, I thought they really used Asakura as a model for those expressions and Necoco’s forceful ways. There was some chemistry between sensei and Asakura, but I think Necoco had loving ways and an adoration for sensei that made all the difference.
Lovers Doll
So beautiful Forever together Now..if I can just stop crying
