Akuma De Keiyaku
1: Seme is somewhat rapey but I honestly didn't hate the story. It just wasn't amazing either. Ryou, a rich heir who is being isolated in his own company after his grandfather's death, summons a demon (Bel) out of boredom and the demon ends up being the best damn secretary 4 2: Story about Phi, the younger looking demon whom Bel mentors, who comes looking for Bel, and the shady as fuck infirmary sensei who works in Ryou's company. Blech. Too young looking, even if he is hundreds of years old. 3 3: Story about a neglected uke whose family is full of elites who undermine and belittle him for not being as smart. He's retaking his uni entrance exams and summons a demon to help with the studying, only, it was the wrong kinda demon 4.3 Overall: 3.8
The Heart of Red Cloak
Modern twist on Red Ridinghood. I want to sympathise with the wolf, who's known nothjng but hunger all his life, rather than the red hood (Salvatore), and Gretal, who are all lying and hiding secrets.
Datte, Oishii No Ga Warui.
Chap 1: Story about the only two smokers left at work, who are in different departments, but take their smoke breaks together. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Yauki is such a devil,I love the way he handles Fujisawa. Fujisawa was so cute and desperate, making up all those lies, just so he can see him. And that confession, ugh. He though it was sweet, but in reality, it was bitter, he tried to quit so many times, what has been done to him, etc, aaaah! Lovely. Yuaki's response was spot on. But everyone should just quit smoking. And this should get at least 5 more chapters (and a sextra *.*) 5* Chap 2: "I have failed to become 1 of 7.2 billion, I am but 1 part of 1 whole solitude." A story about a being who can only eat dreams and someone who thinks his lonely heart has nothing to offer. Beautiful and bittersweet. Loneliness recognises loneliness, I guess. Really would love a full length story on this. 5* Chap 3: A sudden change in the feel of this collection, with this one. Can't say I really liked that. Hasegawa, who is a seasoned shoemaker, and the man who travelled the world learning how to make shoes, so he can become an apprentice for Hasegawa. I don't really like Hasegawa? How condescending and dismissive he was, how quick to raise his hand, didn't even accept his clear responsibility for causing that misunderstanding. Nah. 4. Barely. Chap 4: Story about an artist and his unsuspecting muse. This was far more in line with the original theme. Though, I wish Isozaki had explained his reasoning instead of doing, at times cruel, things to make Andou go red. Glad he finally admitted nothing could compare to the real thing. But so, so disappointed there's no confession. Totally ruins it for me. Loved Andou's crew, though. Wish there had been more of them. Story could be a bit more fleshed out as well. But overall, was a unique plot. 4.4* Chap 5: Story about a kohai who keeps messing up his desk on purpose so that his senpai will notice him. Also fits in with the theme. Aoki is such a kind supervisor and Matsuda is exactly the kinda gentle and smart but at times mean seme, I enjoy from time to time. I love how Matsuda bullied Aoki in to lettting him pay, definitely wanna see more of that! The way Matsuda rebuffed and answered his every insecurity made my heart sing. I long for that! This needs to be a full story! 5* Overall : 4.68
Yasashii Kare to Fukigen Kitsune no Renai Jijou
This had a really unique and interesting fantasy plotline but the romance kinda threw me off? It was too short to include that amazing plot and the rkmance too. Don't get me wrong, they make sense together. It's just, Kisuke went from tsundere asshole who was waay too violent for my taste to pushy seme who's crazy about Keita. If this was like, 20 chapters long, this would make so much more sense. Also, Kisuke almost got him killed, but that just gets brushed over. He has too much pride for my liking. One should be able to apologise when one is in the wrong. 4.4
Isekai Trip Sex
I usually love unexpected ukes. But this kne was too rushed, cracky and shallow. 3.4
Inma-kun wa Oshigoto Dekinai
Wow. Really not what the cover suggests. But, I love it?? Came for the smut, stayed for wholesome love, encouragement to make positive changes in one's lifestyle and loving for yourself first and foremost
Moudoku Sugar Syrup
I went into this thinking I wouldn't enjoy the power balance being tipped in the uke's (Mizuki) favour. But first of all, it wasn't really, as the story progressed and even where he did have the upperhand, it was offset, because the seme (Sakura) also has a lot of power over him, to the point where I was concerned. Glad Sakurs's a good guy, though, he's not trying to take advantage, at least. It's weird that a modern day vampire has evolved to take semen instead of blood, but strange plotline aside, it was still nice to see them interact and develop their relationship. Would have loved an extra chapter on them living together. Really enjoyed reading about when Mizuki finally started enjoying being with Sakura, in all senses of the word 4.5
