Kurikaesu
Haha, very cute. A rare sweet one from Harada, especially when it comes to her djs. I've never seen Gintama and don't really know what it's about, but I read all of her doujinshi because I love her. I really wish she'd just do a long series of her interpretation of the show. With this form of the couple, preferably, lol.
Lies like Lies
Ooh, this looks promising! I'm eager to see how it unfolds. Also a little nervous that I'll end up disappointed, but hey. Only zero and first chapter up right now, so it's hard to tell how it'll turn out. Fingers crossed. EDIT: As of chapter three, I'm really intrigued, and I hope it updates quickly. However, it's difficult to understand what's going on, partly because of the translation, but also because of the sparse background, layout, and similar-looking characters. I'm hoping it becomes clearer as it unfolds.
Ganjigarame
I'm not a fan of incest, and this was pretty generic, so it didn't do much for me, but I like the platonic side of their relationship. I wish there were more yaoi stories with brothers that didn't involve incest of any form. Lol at the guy saying it's wrong to have feelings for his brother, in the midst of fucking his brother. I mean, I get it. You have to draw the line somewhere. XD
Sugar My Baby
Aw, that was cute and simple. I don't get why so many people were hating on the first couple, though. I thought it was typical BL fluff. Sweet, nothing groundbreaking, but certainly not crap. At any rate, everything was rushed, and the weird mind games and miscommunication annoyed me, but the boys are beautiful, and I wish I could see more of their lives now that they're being honest with each other. And the older brother, what's that guy's deal? At least he's a decent wingman, I guess?
Strongest Son In Law
Not my usual cup of tea, but one chapter in, it's kind of cute. I like the idea of a big, tough guy going domestic. I'm not a huge fan of het, and the translation here is iffy, but I'll check it out again in the future to see how it unfolds.
Koi no Kiseki
I want to like this, and it's interesting and different, but why, why, WHY do they always have to "become pretty?" Can't it ever be that they find happiness and confidence without having to physically change? I hate this sort of thing so much. Whenever there's an "ugly" girl as the main character, generally people are just cruel constantly, then she gets super hot and everyone is nice, and no one ever gets their comeuppance for being crappy. It's just reinforcing the idea that women are only worth how attractive they can be to others. I say that assuming that's what happens. I will be shocked if she doesn't suddenly become beautiful because of the doctor. I'll change my rating if she doesn't, but since she probably will, I'll tentatively keep reading.
Mitsu to Adabana
I'm intrigued. It could go either way. Poor baby uke. And it seems like this won't be a rape-to-love situation, which is great. But I could be wrong, so I guess we'll see... I hate rape-to-love, so hopefully not. I just figure the other guy is who he gets with. I'm definitely invested, and the art is lovely. I could have done without the child rape joke that the scanlators added not once, but twice. I don't know why they thought that was funny. But I'm glad someone is scanlating this, so hey.
Yorimichi (KAZUKI Rai)
Awwwwww. I'm with everyone else: this needs to be longer! You can't leave it like that! It's so sweet and touching, and I want to see these two happy and growing together. I want to see more BL and such actually tackle the family and society issues. So much of it either glosses over it or resolves it way too easily. I want to see people learning and changing, discussions about why they're scared to be openly gay, etc. I feel like 99% of the time that's even addressed, the story has a sad or bittersweet ending. I just don't get why we can't see more of the hard stuff without a character choosing to just give up who they are to make their families happy or whatever. But yes, I love this, and I wish there was more. Alas.
Sutenaide My Hero
WOW I hated this manga. I thought it would be interesting, but it was just creepy smut and rape. I couldn't enjoy any of the drama or love revelations, because it was all so forced and weird. Also, I feel like there was something going on with the omega that was never addressed. Like, is this guy a serial killer? It's not just me, right? He forced this to happen and was manipulating everything from the start. That sort of twist would actually be pretty great if it had been executed properly and not treated like it's funny that it happened. Great art, which is mostly the only reason I finished it, other than being thorough. I skimmed the sex scenes after that first one. So gross. Ugh, I need to get the bad taste of this out of my mouth. It's trying to be all cutesy with this psycho and this selfish asshole who was tricked into a relationship through emotional manipulation. I will never understand that fetish. It's weird, like this manga ticked almost all of my top five biggest hates in manga: rape to love, straight guy going gay (It's okay if it's you), oddly stupid/sexually oblivious ukes, and weird commentary during sex, like "you came from just your ass." (At least I didn't see him mentioning his "lewd body" at any point. *gag*)
