Sugar Rain
I really want to like this… I really do. but the main characters are so unlikable. Maybe it was just the translation, but that’s how it felt for me… The miscommunication is getting on my nerves, too. Plus, I really dislike the emphasis on the MC’s sexual appeal. I get it’s from the ML’s POV but combined with the MC’s stubborn yet timid self… *sigh* It’s as if I can feel every twist coming from a mile away. The story sometimes tries to be funny with the dynamic and stuff, but it ultimately falls short. (And there was no reason for the ML’s wet dream to last 2+ chapters ) Not my cup of tea. The setting is confusing. But at least the art’s great!
Beware of the Full Moon In March
Pretty good actually! First impressions were not great, but the seme actually got character development to my surprise. What kept me reading despite that plot point was the fact that the story is just really interesting. The uke is literally an ex-convict! There’s this sense of underlying mystery, and I, for one am hooked. I like the characters (except for the seme). There also exists a thrill in the action that takes place. What exactly goes on behind the scenes…. But anyway, I enjoyed this, and I quite like the writing.
The Most Ordinary Relationship
I find this really good! I love the story focuses on the domestic part of their relationship. Living together, tolerating each other, communicating, etc. I also like how this touches on how they navigate life as a (gay) couple. It’s super funny, and I absolutely love how they bicker. They’re like a breath of fresh air. This is simply *chef’s kiss*. Of course, their unchanging dynamic isn’t really that realistic, but it does have its charm.
Off the Plate
I really like this manhwa because it feels so real… Like the characters. I was at first drawn to this because it was about a food show obviously, but I really like how the author portrays the leads’ relationship with one another. And I love the food as well. It almost feels like you could walk past one of the leads on the street and never even notice. It’s extremely well written and an enjoyable, immersive read.
Punch Drunk Love
This is just really freaking funny. I love their dynamic. Not much drama. Maybe a little office politics here and there. Hilarious misunderstandings, hahaha. Also has your fair share of nsfw if you’re into that. Mostly, this is a nice, lighthearted read, Entertaining and worth your time.
Sand Castle
This is really toxic! Both leads are incredibly manipulative, and I truly believe that reading this is not for the faint of heart. Buttt if you’re like me and enjoy drama that’s frustrating yet addictive, I think you’d enjoy this manhwa in some strange way. I like how raw the MC and the ML get emotionally, almost as if they’re stripping themselves entirely to the other person. We see the ugly sides of them all too well. It’s not the most likable story, and I can definitely see why people wouldn’t want to read this. I personally will keep reading as I’m curious as to how the nature of their relationship changes. From an abusive one to…. ? The MC and the ML are incredibly incredibly dynamic, I like the recurring themes, and the art is splendid.
Itoshino Unlucky Days
Really fluffy. I especially liked the ending. They very well may have chosen a path harder than their bad luck, but if they like each other, who cares? So, so cute. I enjoyed how natural it felt. Liked the dynamics, but it does feel a little unfinished. It was a short but nice experience. This isn’t perfect or whatever, but it’s good!
Yoo-Yoo-Sang-Jong
9 ATS this is already very interesting! i want more! and i want to know about these peculiar four main characters.
