One of the notable things about this is how it subverts expectations. The MC is an omega, but he doesn’t look like on in the traditional sense. he’s muscular, he can fend for himself— I really appreciate his character and how he doesn’t let the ML walk all over him! and i love that the author still flushed out his emotional side and such. The ML feels like your typical alpha, top dog, possessive love interest, but I liked that the author shows his actual care for the MC! plus, the misunderstanding isn’t drawn out, and the adult characters actually act like adults (thank the heavens). In a way the storytelling isn’t particularly special; what makes this standout is its use of the familiar tropes we know and twisting it another delightful direction. I hope the “love” part of the relationship gets flushed out in the side stories as it feels incomplete as of now with the ending of the second season.
