Here and There and Us

Complete | Thanat | 2019 released

The start was kinda rocky, but I gradually got into it. I liked the slow pacing, which seemed to mirror real life. This had a very natural relationship progression to the extent that I even grew fond of the side characters… Loved their dynamic. The romance aspect was VERY subtle, but it’s there with their touchy-feely moments. This is an enjoyable slice of life manga with coming-of-age themes!

Here And There And Us (And Then And After)

Ongoing | Thanat | 2020 released

I love this!! This simply ticks all my boxes. I love their communication and, again, how natural their relationship is. The worries about telling other people that one of the leads has a boyfriend is very much real… This sequel gave everything the prequel didn’t. It gave us a new outlook on their relationship as lovers. Still a very fluffy and (might I steal the words of another commenter) comforting read!

Curtain's up, I'm off

Complete | Akitaka imakoshi | 2000 released

Theater acting in a high school setting. I liked the themes of youth, friendship, yada, yada. it just felt a little cliché and generic. the characters aren’t particularly unique, and they’re lacking. practically only three characters are memorable. aside from the acting aspect, you could treat this like any other shounen manga. wow, they’re selected to go to nationals in the end…. yipee ig? had promise, but the execution ultimately underwhelmed me.

Ashita No Ousama

Complete | Yachi Emiko | 1996 released

Excellent manga! Even though the MC isn’t an actress herself, this still manages to be very moving. As a scriptwriter/director, she has her own struggles. It was very enjoyable and also inspiring to see her overcome those struggles and achieve success. Her character was refreshing bc of her honesty and passion. Her character development is no joke. I liked the emphasis on the entertainment industry and theater, and I didn’t mind that the romance subplot took the backseat. The acting was portrayed very well, too (by the art)! Characters Touya and Fujinosuke left impressions on me. Overall, a satisfying read, but I agree that it was a little anticlimactic with not much conflict.

Oko-sama Star

Ongoing | aomiya kara | 2014 released

this was so freaking fluffy. the angst was really good and realistic. i liked the underlying conflict for most of it. that feeling of only your body growing but your emotions staying stagnant... the un-communication. very relatable themes! their dynamic is refreshing. the bottom is more muscular and stronger than the top. plus they're just TOO CUTE and blushyyy. i also liked how the sex was handled with proper prep. ngl as a whole, this is so addicting i need more *sobs*

Oyasumi Matane Mashirokun

Ongoing | Roca kato | 2019 released

I thought this was pretty cute! It was funny how delulu the ML was (Rihito). For me, the art was what really made this manga. Everything was so pretty. Reminded me of a shoujo manga. I don’t think the initial misunderstanding ever got cleared up, though, which is why I feel a bit unsatisfied even after the ending of the first volume. Hopefully, its gets explored next volume!

Meaning of his Gaze

Complete | YEP | 2000 released

Only crime was that this was too short! They were so cute. Unexpectedly, the black-haired guy turned out to be the bottom. I really need to stop assuming things. Blonde was kind of weird for not doing anything despite knowing the ML liked him if I had to nitpick! Happy ending rules tho. I liked the extras. Would have liked to see more established relationship fluff

Itoshi no My Doctor!

Complete | Glycerin takeru | 2019 released

It was really cute! Short and sweet. I didn’t expect the doctor to have that side to him in bed lmao. Wish it were a bit long, so there was more time to develop their relationship.

Solo Farming In The Tower

Ongoing | | 2022 released

65 too interesting. all the animals r so cute! i love how they all have become a family. plus, the plot is good and well-paced. the farming aspect is also good

That's the Way the Cookie Crumbles

Complete | Mineshima nawako | 2022 released

I would’ve liked this more had both the stories NOT kicked off with a literal rape/dubious consent scene! The author has to be insane for repeating that same, ass trope. the first story was pretty rushed, and i can’t say i enjoyed it all that much. i liked the pairing, though. the second story was much more fleshed out! i def liked it more than the first, but it would’ve benefited from not having rape and expanding on the leads’ past together. this was just… bad. not the worst. but worse than average.
