In This Life, the Greatest Star in the Universe
Pretty good. I’ve read the novel for this, and it’s kind of mid, but I don’t mind a good idol manhwa! Plus, the art is really nice so far. Plot’s kind of lacking.
Kiss Me Crying
This was actually so good? The author wrote the idol duo trope so well! I loved how the facets of the entertainment industry were integrated with their love for each other. Especially that grave proclamation of wanting to stay with the other for eternity… Relatively unique in that the lead is Korean while the MC is Japanese. The only part I didn’t like was the ML forcing himself on the MC. The consent was very dubious there, and it just felt uncomfortable to read…. I wish the author hadn’t resorted to using that overused plot point. There were plenty of other ways to handle the conflict… Besides that, everything else was awesome in my book, especially the art.
My House Has Become a Filming Location!
8 they are so CUTE. i love them, i love the slice of life undertones. nothing like a good actor ML. also the mc is super funny and endearing…
How to Use Scissors and You
I’m sorry to say… but this was a bunch of clichés wrapped in one. Reading the first chapter I could only sigh. Like the black mail / almost rape plot in the beginning. Then the ML spends a few chapters redeeming himself… The MC just falls in love with the ML without rhyme or reason… I really liked the career aspect of this manga (the hair styling/ modeling), but as a romance, it’s just mid. The characters lack depth, and story lacks originality in terms of progression. I’m unimpressed to say the least. Good art, though.
Double
this is way too good THE IMAGERY, THE ART… the themes. it’s very dramatic, but maybe that’s to be expected because the two leads are actors. i love takar and yujin’s characters… this author’s twsisted storytelling makes this such an experience. i love reading about actors, and this just completely takes the cake. the focal point of this is the lead’s relationship with each other… how it affects takara’s acting in particular and even his feelings for yujin. it’s masterful—the way the story is told. and their relationship doesn’t even have to be romantic
The Genius Idol’s Strategy to Stardom
Pretty interesting. Like what’s with the original host’s underlying history with the other members of true? Anyway, this kinda reminds me of Debut or Die, except the MC here is literally inside a game. This has a sense of individuality like others have said. Looking forward to more chapters.
