I grew three or 4 ? Wisdom tooth, the two wisdom teeth grew at the same time coincidentally I also have braces and had past teeth extractions (3 teeth extractions) cause I have crowded,crooked and big teeth. So I never noticed that I grew wisdom tooth until I was checking the brackets of my braces. My wisdom tooth has no pain and the doctor advised......   reply

Well for me, my dentist suggested that I get them taken out because I had cavities on all four of them they weren’t causing me pain, but the dentist suggested that I should get them taken out so that the cavities won’t spread on my other healthy teeth   reply

I KNOW THE ANSWER i think Tl;Dr: its a preventative measure basically. Wisdom teeth can have a lot of issues so removing them as a standard is easiest. if your teeth have a bit of room between them, go get scanned to see if your wisdom teeth are growing in straight. If yes to both, ask to keep them in but monitor their growth (because wisdom teeth......   reply

Risk of crowding, impaction, cavities, damage to the surrounding teeth, infections, jaw and sinus issues, etc. Plus they're not actually that functional You can monitor them if they're not causing any problems (ask your dentist about it? maybe?), but it's easier to just pull them out lol   reply

My dentist didn't, even though at the time i really wanted him to (fit for the stereotype that dentists are evil but whatever). It hurts like a mf when they are growing and the growth happens in phases. But otherwise mine had space to grow and were upright so the toothbrush could reach them properly, so I didn't need to. It can cause issues if the space is overly pack by more teeth, and for a lot of people they aren't position in way that they can come out properly so its safer to remove them. I got some molars taken out (last choice after experiencing medical neglect twice) and was able to let my wisdom teeth come out naturally since I now had room, it takes a rll......   reply

I have pretty small jaw and big teeth, my wisdom teeth were going sideways, especially the left ones so I got them removed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT no matter what they tell you, unless there is a huuuge issue with it like it's rotten/broken or you want braces. The 2 weeks after removal were absolute hell, I was barely eating toddler soups, because I ......   reply
