My dentist didn't, even though at the time i really wanted him to (fit for the stereotype that dentists are evil but whatever). It hurts like a mf when they are growing and the growth happens in phases. But otherwise mine had space to grow and were upright so the toothbrush could reach them properly, so I didn't need to. Now they just work like ano......
