Thoughts About Rape In Fiction

As someone who reads yaoi a lot more than other stuff, I’m actually not really too sure because it’s kinda like...hentai So it’s like that it does exsist but it’s like...that’s the reason It’s kinda like yandere characters they are there for the story but not really in real life Like some people are head over heels for yandere but it......   reply

Putting it that way yes, it’s extremely hypocritical. I think if it’s not violent then people usually give it a free pass. I don’t care if it’s yaoi or hentai or whatever, as long as the characters are hot they will ALWAYS get a free pass. There’s this double standard I’ll never fully understand. But I also wanna add that, I don’t ca......   reply

Even if it's fiction, rape is still rape, and in so many yaoi/BL's there's some kind of rape situation even if it's not the violent type it's still rape. So real world example: A 12 year old starts reading yaoi with rape in it, without realizing it's rape. This kid will start thinking that non-consensual sex is okay, and will just continue on readi......   2 reply

The forced sexual encounter in fiction is a highly idealized, romantic fantasy far removed from the tragedy of real life rape. The fantasy never comes into contact with real life. Fantasy sexual encounters are non-violent, gorgeous, sexual experiences. They are supposed to be romantic. They are for the pleasure of the adult who reads them. The......   1 reply

The first time I ever heard of these bullies was when a friend sent me these screen shots in late May 2021. This is the first time I've posted these screen shots, which were the beginning of their "cancel party" against me. In the posts below, Ottoke is now Nictophile, Sunflower Overlord is now O_Doppio. I was shocked to see that they had found......   4 reply

let me counter ur question with a question. Why is rape so common in yaoi? what is it that is appealing to these authors that makes them inject it into their work i find this so strange and slightly off putting because no matter how i look at it there are several ways to show trauma without the mentioning of rape or sexual assult. And another thing......   2 reply

Rape is the plot point that lazy authors use to bring """spicyness""" or whatever in their BLs, and they can't even write it properly most the time. You're not a hypocrite if you're fine with it when it's actually written like it actually is, but you're a cuntless bitch if you don't see anything wrong with sexual abuse being glamorised for sexy poi......   7 reply

If the rape is portrayed as it should be portrayed I'm fine with it. The victim remains a victim and a rapist remains a rapist, they do not get together. I think that some of the authors who write stories about rape and actually romanticize it just don't know what they're doing and didn't do their homework. I saw a lot of people here comparing it......   1 reply

Fetishizing rape in fiction just fuels the rape culture. We are at the point where kinds are so used to read rape fiction they don’t even know the actual definition of consent. Just yesterday I saw a 10 years old was arguing how Yours to claim didn’t have rape since the mc liked the rapist. Will you guys still say fiction isn’t affecting real......   3 reply
