Were we hanging out?

At this point, this is just me giving everyone updates on this guy lol. If you go back to my past threads, you'll see I've been trying to hang out with this guy I like a lot (maybe even love oof). Like 2 times he said he was busy (he was tho) and yadda yadda we never actually planned a time to hang out, though I kept asking him to tell me when he was free. HOWEVER, I invited him and his roomies to see this show I was in and he actually did go and chatted with me after. I borrowed one of his ties for my costume (which was awfully trusting of him bc I know he wears this tie all the time and he got it when he was in Italy).

I ofc had to return the tie and he told me that he was free the next day and asked if he should come over to mine or if I should go over to his. This vague ah language made me wonder if he thought this was us hanging out...Unforch for me, my roomie had her bf over, so I went over to his and his roomies (who are a couple) were there. I didn't know if this was a drop off and go sitch, but I quickly realized he thought we were gonna chat. I spent over two hours talking with him on the couch while his roomies were playing a game on their Switch. We were not alone, but most of our conversations were just the two of us and he asked me all of these questions about what I've been up to and what my plans were for next year. He brought out War and Peace and I jokingly grabbed it from him and he started pointing out all the things he thought was interesting. When I left, he thanked me multiple times for bringing his tie back (it's your tie?).

Other context: I went to his roomies' party a few days later (which he asked me if I would go to) and I got so drunk that when the group went on a walk, I ended up grabbing his shoulder and leaning on him for a while. Later that night, I started telling him he should change his hair and clothes, so he asked for my recs, and I started PLAYING WITH HIS HAIR A LOT and HE LET ME, just smiling down at me and asking if it looked good (I did it like 3 times). He panicked and started objecting when I asked if I could take him shopping, so idk if it's me or just the idea of going out to shop.

TLDR: Have tried to hang out but he is lowk flaky. He came to see my show. Talked to him for 2 hours at his place while his roomies were there. Unsure if that counts as a hang out. I played with his hair and he seemed to like it, but did not want to go shopping with me. Do I ask him to hang out again?
