Hi! I run a Japanese group chat on LINE and our teacher has left us pretty abruptly...we need someone to replace that person if possible. The teacher is responsible for teaching a beginner class and an intermediate class for an hour each, one day a week but if they can't make it it's fine to reschedule too. Previously due to the limitations of the teacher's computer, we could only do a voice chat style teaching lesson but if the person who next volunteers is capable of it, we could do it on Discord, Zoom, or LINE itself as a shared screen video feed. We are currently discussing the possibility of remuneration for a teacher and have not come to a conclusion yet. Many of the students are minors without jobs and can't afford to pay for lessons.
As a teacher, you don't need a professional qualification, just the desire to share your knowledge of Japanese, and a knowledge of Japanese around the N2 level or so. Although that's not a hard and fast rule either. The only rules we have on the group chat are that we are respectful of each other and don't post explicit stuff like yaoi, yuri, hentai etc because the focus is on learning and not yaoi, yuri or hentai.
