Surface piercings never truly heal, I’m sorry to say. there will always be a risk of rejection and/or inflammation, and I’ve had to deal with that many a time. Just keep cleaning it and treating it gently and hopefully it will last a long time, but unfortunately surface piercings aren’t physically meant to be permanent.   reply
