A guy asked me why i liked yaoi since im a straight female so i should like hentai/ecchi which has hetero rlships. So i wanna ask how many of u out there watch hentai? Do you like it?

A lot of fudanshi's have been asking fujoshi's why we like yaoi. I'm wondering if you think we shouldn't.

I've always liked yaoi. Even before I knew what yaoi was I shipped. I'd like to blame shows like boy meets world, scrubs and all other depictions of perfect bromances for making me realize I enjoyed this but honestly I probably would have come to it without them anyway. I love gay romances in films and tv shows. It warms my heart that these stories are now being told so much more. As a black woman I know how necessary representation is. Seeing this makes me feel like the world is becoming a better place.

I think the LGBTQ community is wonderful and I have always considered myself an ally. Truthfully, I don't always know where and if I fit into it (I'm a 2 on the kinsey scale if anyone thinks it's relevant). The safe spaces that the gay community has formed always made me feel safe too (not to mention they can be so much fun, the gay pride parade is my summertime highlight and I love gay bars, dancing without being groped is a great feeling). So even if I'm not really welcome it's still something I'd want to protect.

Basically I'd much rather be a good ally than a consumer. So do you think preferring yaoi over shojo or yuri is wrong? Is it inherently damaging to the gay community? Should I stop? I'd like honest opinions so feel free to comment on anything I've said. Also I understand you guys won't be able to represent the entire community here so personal opinions are welcome.

Which kpop groups or solo artists did you unstan or stop being a fan of and why?



For me, I stanned Wanna One members since predebut (pd101s2) but after they disbanded, their contract ended, and went solo, I couldnt stan all of them at once, though I still love them. BTS comes next. Coz of the huge toxic fandom, not surprising right. As a multifan, it pains me to see co-armys bashing and spreading hate on the groups i also am a fan of. im gonna say it, BEING AN ARMY IS NOT SOMETHING I COULD BE PROUD OF ANYMORE. Its actually embarassing to admit youre one, coz that means youre part of the most toxic fandom in kpop industry. Second reason why I officially unstan them is the CHANGE. Back in 2014, they are all about hip hop and swag and cool choreographies. It's like the BTS that I liked back then isnt there anymore.

everyone has a fear. whether it's big or small, it has a huge meaning and impact on/to a person

fear does scary things to a person. even if someone acts strong or shows no emotions, something that they fear can turn them into someone else in one's eyes

there's that... myth you could call it, that like how the birthmarks we have received since birth could be the scar or the reason we have died in our past lives, just like our biggest phobias/ fears are because of what had happened to us or how we died in our past lives.

i find it really interesting that such ideas were thought of and spread, believed and thought so thoroughly of by many.

one of my biggest fears is the dark. it sounds so simple and anyone could think it is stupid. i once read somewhere:

"people fear the darkness because they do not know what lurks in the shadows."

and i feel like i can relate to that completely, not being able to see what is in front or behind me or beside me, it's just scary.

i also have a fear of clustered holes, or as some of you may have heard of- trypophobia: an aversion to the sight of irregular patterns or clusters of small holes, or bumps. it's not like all holes make me so scared that when i see one i scream and run away. it's only certain patterns and images make me feel repulsive, disgusted.

so what's a phobia or fear of yours, i would really like to know and see who else can also relate to yours! maybe your causes or reason are similar!!

I was just curious as to what stories everyone wanted to see on here since im thinking of possibly doing some translating. I wanted a good idea of what I SHOULD translate first though.

I read a ton of yaoi all the time, and I enjoy it a lot, but I don't really consider myself a fujoshi. I think it's mainly because I never ship any characters together. I understand why people do ship characters, but personally I don't have any emotional appeal to ships. I read yaoi mainly out of boredom like for entertainment, so I only get emotionally invested in the story like half of the time so I never really care about ships or who ends up together in a story. I just read to see how the author decides to develop the story and who they favor at the end.

Just to share, I'm gay and I've been called "disgusting" straight to my face. Someone even told me "If you don't change, you'll end up alone someday". . . He even called me a faggot.. It's not for you to say if I'll end up alone someday. You don't have an idea how much I've been through for you tell me those things. And if I end up being alone someday, I'll gladly accept that path. I'm ready for that possibility. So don't remind me of that, because I've already thought of it a hundred times even before you did. My life will continue being a story of bravery. Yes. I still keep getting hurt by those words everytime a person say that to my face. To be called a "disgusting faggot" who'll end up being alone someday. Who'll end up being left. Those words still make my breathing slower everytime I hear them. But, you're just another one of those people. And not just another one of you could waver this courage down. This "faggot" is a resilient fuck, who'll slap you with you're stupid judgements.

Hi! I have never done this before, but seriously now I am kind of depressed I had one little beautiful female guinea pig and she died some days ago, I just didn't see that coming, I seriously loved that guinea pig, she was my everything, she had a partner and died like 10 day after giving birth to 3 little guinea pigs, but everything I did was for her, I bought her a partber so she wouldn't be alone, I built her the biggest cage I could for her, and now she is gone.
