Guys, I need help. Please do give advice.
So my boyfriend went on this outing, and there’s this one girl there. At first, he told me she likes girls, but when I asked again, he said he wasn’t sure and that she probably has a boyfriend. I got curious, so I looked her up on social media — and I found out I’m blocked. I’ve never even met this girl, never talked to her, nothing.

I kept asking my boyfriend what’s between them, and he keeps saying there’s nothing. But my gut is telling me something isn’t right. I don’t know if I’m just being insecure, but it feels weird. Like, why would someone I don’t even know block me? And why does he seem unsure about her all of a sudden?

Please give me advice, because I don’t know if I’m just overthinking or if this is something I should really be worried about.

So I have a friend that ghosted me bc of their personal reasons (even I don't know what exactly prompted them to) but we were super duper close, as in the type of close where we could tell what each other would say without speaking, looking at each other is enough to say a million gossips etc. I truly valued them and loved them (as a friend) so much, so it broke me when all of it happened, and I didn't even get a reason why. Its beed 6 months. I found out that they ghosted me on their bday when they ignored my art gift and well wishes (though we stopped talking during February I didn't realize it was her ghosting me bc I was also busy) so I didn't get to give them the gift I prepared which was:

A handwritten letter
Collage photos of us
Pins of their fav characters with my art
Printed image of the art of them I made
ALST figure
Haikaveh rings (we planned to cosduo them)

We had so many cosduos planned and I can't imagine cosplaying those characters without them now, because I made a promise. Honestly they were the most in sync friend I've ever had, and even now that I've been hurt and ghosted by them for the 3rd time (this time the permanence is devastating) which dealt a huge blow to my mental health, I still can't seem to let them go and accept that fact standing still.

So my question is should I ask a mutual friend a favor to give the gift to them? If all goes well there's a chance they might talk to me, if it goes awry then maybe I'll get some closure. Thanks for reading I really appreciate it.

If you haven't heard, in the past year, the Chinese government has launched an incredibly aggressive literary crackdown. Over 30 danmei authors—mostly women in their 20s—have been arrested, fined, and imprisoned simply for writing and distributing queer fiction online. Many published through Haitang Literature City, a Taiwan-based site, to avoid mainland censorship. Some are facing up to five years in prison, with one author fined more than the equivalent of $40,000 USD. One of them, Ci Xi, was sentenced to 66 months behind bars. Another, Yun Jian, got 4.5 years. Some made only a few hundred dollars off their writing. This is not “obscenity” enforcement. This is a targeted, ideological attack on women, on queerness, on fiction, and on creative freedom. This is also an economic attack. Chinese officials have coined it "fishing in distant seas," whereby public security officials from one province or city cross into another to pursue “major cases” (with lucrative outcomes) with no clear jurisdictional authority or public safety imperative. They fine these women extraordinary amounts of money that then go into the pockets of corrupt officials. This is the exploitation of vulnerable groups of people and the authoritarian policing of morality. These women, for publishing mostly unprofitable queer stories, are having their futures DESTROYED and their images decimated. There is a very big community and reputation-centered value system in Chinese culture. Now. Imagine. Even after being released, who is to say these women will have a job or family to go back to?

Obviously, we should care. On a base level because of brutal censorship, but also because most of us are avid consumers of BL. We are part of the same ecosystem these authors are being punished for.

The Chinese state is criminalizing artistic expression because it dares to imagine something freer than the current order. And let’s be honest: this isn’t just happening in China. Across the world, we are watching governments police books, criminalize drag, erase trans people, censor art, and surveil fandom spaces under the guise of “morality.” Queer stories have always been political. So has fanfiction. What we’re witnessing is a war on imagination, especially when that imagination belongs to marginalized people.

And where is the Western media? Failing us. Articles from BBC and the New York Times treat danmei like a strange niche, or worse, frame BL as “problematic,” “pornographic,” or “exploitative." These narratives distract from the real issue: state violence against creators. Instead of standing up for freedom of expression, they’ve defaulted to tone-deaf cultural judgment.

What do we do? I'll be honest, even I'm not sure. I'm scrambling for resources. In China, online efforts at protesting are being erased and censored, as well as legal advice provided on social networking sites. Here are some ways I've thought of that might help.
- Spread awareness. If you have a platform, if you don't have a platform, say something. Let more people know about this. On Tiktok, Instagram, Bluesky, etc etc.
- Groups like PEN America and Chinese Human Rights Defenders are tracking these cases. Support them, donate, or help amplify their work.
- If you know danmei authors writing online today—especially in or near China—check in with them. A lot of lawyers in China are offering pro bono to these women. If you know any of them, offer money, legal assistance if you're qualified.

If I'm missing anything or said anything incorrect, please correct me. But this matters. Artistic liberty and freedom is under attack. Don't look away.

this is gonna be a long talk.. so i've got this one friend, we knew each other like since 5th grade or smth, many things happened thru years, we only actually became friend at the end of 9th grade if i remember right (now we're in last year of high school, while you're reading this wish me good luck on me final exams after less than two weeks)
SO, now the thing is we got was TOO close the past two years like bro we live in an arabic islamic country yet she still accepted me when she knew about alot of things i do and think or believe or support that are against islam, i told her way TOO much about every fucking thing in my life, she kinda did the same, like i mean she made me feel like omg i finally got to live the feeling of having an actual real bsf, i was really grateful, BUT months ago we talked less, i mean bc of studying shit and all, yet for damn weeks i was always the one sending first, like ALWAYS, the one suggesting we hang out, like i was just doing all the effor for a long while, some things happened and i stopped, but like not intentionally, and wow time really flies by and half a year went by and she never reached out to me first, thru that i texted her twice, once to tell her to come take the book she rent me before all that happens since she passed by my neighbourhood on her way many times, she said yeah and she will come, a month went by and she didn't, her birthday came and i really didn't want to contragulate her bc i was so pissed, yet before the day ends i msged her a happy bday, she replied flatly and that was the last time we ever talked, four months went by, i got REAL sick three times thru that, my bday came, my sis got pregnant, what i'm trying to say that alot of kinda important things happened during that period and she never reached or checked up on me and the thing is i knew she was meeting with her other friends (we were in different classes), a month and more ago i officially gave up on her, actually smth happened in the country and she suddenly had the inspiration to start wearing the official islamic outfit and be a niqabi and all so i kinda guesses she probably preferred to lose me since she was trying to win God or smth idk i never knew what the fucking fuck that happened to us but anyway i almost forgot and never really thought about her or the whole thing again and gave up on the idea of real friends anymore (what hurts more that she once wrote me a letter and said smth like she hoped i prove her family wrong that reall friends don't exist and all, yet she the one that proved them right tbh)
