The art style changed. The ambience of the story seems different too.
True, but I kind of like it. I had a really hard time keeping track of what was going on in the story before and now it's much more readable. I hope they struck some balance in the next chapter, so that it's readable,but still atmospheric!

Gozu they were not good people or parents, they were abusing you emotionally and gaslighting you into thinking its all your fault. People from outside can't really see the effects of emotional abuse but it's always there.
Gozu lived through some horrifying situations as a child still never went back home, that indicates the situation at home was far worse than he was implying.
Rereading Gozu said he hit his father before running away maybe that also played at him not coming back, like feeling guilty?
The good art definitely distracts from the plot holes, not that I mind plothole ridden stories.

Can the emperor just die ? Like I am starting to get bored of this repeated attempts at MC 's life while the Emperor sits like this smug snake bastard while doing next to nothing. Dude thinks MC is an important pawn yet keeps sending her to obvious traps for amusement and it's starting to get really annoying.
