They all seem like great people, not the kind that would judge him for his illness and him doing his best for it as well. I understand why he wouldn't want them to see, as heavy-weighted ppl are heavily stigmatized in Korea. I just hope they can meet, even if it's only inside the game, so they know how much he's missed them ╥﹏╥

1. He's probably getting pregnant in the future since it seems Caius has been praying to the goddess already. Kouichi will probably start praying too, and it seems likely to happen. Let's go with the laws/beliefs of that world!
2. I believe the most likely scenario is to adapt Kouichi's body to be able to take it all inside, via magic. Accustom his body to get pregnant as well, though I have to say if we here to give birth to a Titan child... I simply can't imagine how that'll work.
I'm actually quite intrigued to see what the author does. it isn't an easy task for this, they're different species after all.

If I wrote his name wrong I apologize, I was rereading and noticed that... we don't know who Orst-san really is. What he's doing in the death forest, or why he apologized to Arito when he first got there (while Arito was sleeping).
I guess I forgot about it since he really likes Arito and treats him well and all, but... just what is his story? (=・ω・=)

I spent hours just going through threads on Instagram, novel forums, and else, to understand why the novel readers (or most anyway) supported Ruve so much in contrast with manhwa readers who (most anyway) despise him.
After reading everything I could find out without reading the novel, I can actually understand why they're supporting Ruve in this timeline. Crazy, but most of what we know at the moment is wrong about him... and I mean it. It's just that Tia doesn't know it since she died... she's gotten clues in this timeline (though I'm unsure how much they'll show it in the manhwa). We're following the story through her eyes, so it makes sense that we only believe what she's seen/heard/gone through, disregarding the whole context (a part of which, Jieun knows too). It has probably one of the biggest plot twists I've read these days (from these stories) because the 'villains' in most are usually just that, villains.
I'm not saying to support Ruve/understand him, but if you don't understand why ppl support him go investigate spoilers fully or read the novel if you wish to. It's interesting how it was played out by the author.

Borrowing @Diyah's comment down below...
The prince, that dude is messed up and what he did shouldn't be swept under the rug. he got a sad backstory. That's it. all of his actions in the future were still HIS actions. he wasn't forced. Also, his reasoning doesn't even make sense. there is no excuse for the things he did. AT ALL. STOP TRYING TO JUSTIFY RAPE OF ALL THINGS, SERIOUSLY GUYS, THAT'S JUST SAD.

No. We was drugged, brainwashed, and manipulated. Of course there is no excuse for the rape. But jeeez how narrow minded are you?? The webtoon deviated from the novel. They nade it appear that he is soo evil when in fact it was not. And FYI. Its not the "future" this is the second timeline. Where he hasnt done anything wrong and is fighting the first timeline too.

Actually, you're wrong. It's nothing to do with his backstory. And it shows your opinion is solely based on the manhwa, which is not wrong since it's what they're showing.
It actually all happens while they're married and during his reign, but it's far more complicated than I could point out (since I didn't read it directly, and it's HEAVILY based off the political plotline more than the characters themselves).
I'm not justifying ANYTHING, my comment doesn't support nor attacks Ruve. I just wanted to share that, through my research, I was able to understand further the fandom and what the author did. Nothing more, nothing less.

Actually, what I enjoyed most was understanding why he was so different from both timelines. I knew it had to be a bigger secret than simply a 'personality change'. And thankfully, in this timeline, Tia will be able to prevent what was done to him in the timeline before... she's the only one that can actually notice it.

Thank you I get what most people are saying but the author was so disgusting by making it seem the first timeline was nothing and so she didnt have trauma. I wouldnt hate this as much if its even slightly realistic with trauma and how that plays into the story. All it ended up being was the mc playing hard to get with the prince (even still are), because she had a bad love experience.I mean seriously we all had those but you girl, u were born into a hell.

Hmm I understand where you're coming from, since Ruve himself doesn't know anything about the first timeline so Tia is the one who could have kept rejecting him until the end. Though, I wouldn't say trauma wasn't well represented. For years (the manhwa skips time fast, but years pass) Tia did reject him. She tried avoiding him as she could and even collapsed once when they were together. I wonder, the novel must have probably shown it deeper since it's a novel... I will look into that.
And in the present, she fell for the current Ruve who isn't... well, he did not meet the fate of the last timeline (it's a huge spoiler although it's coming next he). Realistically speaking, it shouldn't be possible for her to fall for him again... yet... it's not impossible either. I don't want to spoil it... but Ruve wasn't actually responsible for everything that happened to her. He was not the perpetrator, someone else was behind it all... even what happened to Ruve's personality...as to why he treated her that way... that's also a huge HUGE spoiler... I'll leave it.
I'm not defending him either! It all depends on who's reading, for them to enjoy or judge, support them or not. I personally am here for the plot and drama. I understand it was HIM who did what he did... but at the same time, funnily enough, it was not 'him'. I can spoil anytime ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I know about the spoilers cause I actually want to like this, but where did she collapse once because they were together. Reread this and tell me there was trauma, all she did was quiver a little when she first saw the prince. She said one time while looking back at her past life "I was mad at the prince cause I was poisoned ". Like huh the author pushes me as a reader to far by saying something close to this and not only that she looked back at her life like it was nothing. How come theres sparkles in the flasback and also no reaction to remembering her last life, like at least give me a panic attack. Not a oh I was being dramatic.

One of the biggest reasons I dropped this is because from a woman who was verbally, physically, sexually abused by him, had her only remaining family killed by him and later on he kills her too... it just doesn’t make sense for her to even consider him as a love interest. Like I adore the art. I just wish it wasn’t wasted on romanticizing such a terrible love story and pushing away psychological trauma like cake. In reality, anyone who went through what she did would literally have their skin crawl going near their abuser, changed or not. The only acceptable answer for their relationship is Stockholm Syndrome (which btw, authors stop making SS be a love story because abuse ≠ love) but I see so many readers defending him like it was completely natural for her to fall for him. Idgaf if he was drugged or whatever nonsense. SHE was going to start her second life away from her abuser and that’s the premise that is promised. Not to excuse his shitty actions and go for the “love conquers all, even all the shit he put you through!!”

Oh I should change that rating. Painter of the Night doesn't deserve 5 stars imo. Thanks for reminding me. I haven't sorted my rating these few years. Ya know...it's funny seeing you digging into my manga list too cause last I read Painter of the Night was 6-7 months ago. I don't even remember what the content of the manhwa anymore. I read like what...2-3 chapters in and then I forgot about it. I remember liking the art tho...
As I said on my profile, stop stalking. It's not healthy.

it’s not just that he didn’t commit anything, it’s Tia's personal values as a woman. Are you really willing to go back to the man that psychologically traumatized you in every way he could possible? SMH
Just because this is another timeline does not invalidate what she experienced. They can be friends but lovers? lmao even a rat has more self respect.

Dear, I'm very clear on whats reality and fantasy. Are you? Just because someone reads The Black Dahlia or Lolita, doesn't mean they agree with the content of the book and gonna commit the acts done in the book. Plus, I didn't say I support any rape at all. Please don't assume things by yourself. And can you please specify which part did I use in my statement as an excuse to justify rape? I can't find them at all. My eyes might be tricking me.

If I don't recall bad, it was when she just returned in her past, one time she collapsed at her family estate cause she was too afraid of the prince. And ruve stayed beside her for a few time and even read the letter she wrote to allendis about her "dream" (Her past life) and the prince is shocked by reading that and when Allendis arrives at the estate, the prince goes away (after Allendis shows all his yandere vibes - I'm actually not an Allendis stan)

It wasn't completely natural for her to fall for Ruve, but to start with, she loved him in her past life... And somewhere she even said that she didn't care how rude he was to her, how he raped her, because she wanted him in her past life! THAT WAS INSANE! Then he killed her and passed YEARS in her second time on her life to be afraid of him, but she changed, she's not the girl who didn't care about how Ruve would treat her anymore, she doesn't like him that way anymore (die was enough to change her mind) also because he's not the Ruve of their last life. And she grew fond with him NOW because he is different. I think you missed the part when she said she didn't resent him for the rape and the miscarriage, the thing she hated him for was that he killed her father.
And again, just a little reminder, this is a world where everyone just spit poison and mistreat the other, it's common. It's not fair but this is that world.
I get your point, and I agree, it wasn't natural for her to fall again for Ruve, but she did. The author imposted this story as a redeeming one, where people can change and live better

Being one of the people that sides with Ruve, I can't agree with what you're stating, and it's rude.
I take this Ruve as a Ruve that hasn't done anything yet. He doesn't know about what Tia suffered cause of him, in the other timeline he was a scumbag, and I think we all think that way. And at first I just wanted Tia to stay away from him BUT he's not the Ruve. People change. People can change. This is what you don't want to admit or understand. And this is the meaning of the manhwa and the novel

It's true that more could have been done, maybe it was to not show Tia as weaker than she was? I can't speak for the author.
And about the poisoning, it's true Tia was poisoned along Ruve. She thought it was his doing so she would be infertile but... we know he wasn't. Ruve was poisoned worst than her after all.
If you don't like it that's fine, it's your choice. You're probably reading out of curiousness then, I hope you feel more satisfied when everything is explained (dk if they will do that).

Well... I said, what you know about him is wrong after all. If you don't mind spoilers: he did not kill Tia's family, it was Duke Jenna's faction. In reality, Ruve was behind the scenes trying to prevent the Marquis family from collapsing because they were on his side (bc it was Tia's family). Though, he wasn't able to... Tia's father committed suicide. Ruve was actually frustrated because he asked him to save his daughter (Ruve did not have the power to anymore...). The plot is quite political, I am unable to tell everything. I read spoilers for everything that happened but I won't share them all.
Another thing, Ruve was not 'Ruve'. You'll see it in the coming chapters but... Ruve had been poisoned for a looooong time in the previous timeline (Tia as well). I'm not saying this is an excuse but, in reality, someone who's drugged or do drugs for a long time... aren't themselves. They lose their personality and morals completely... until they die from overdose. Well, that's what happened to him, and in the coming chapters is the 'beginning' of it, which Tia will resolve before he's lost. That's why he's so different between the timelines and also why Tia is confused as to why this Ruve treats her so well. If you still hold him responsible for what he did, do as you might. But even in this life, under the law, people who are drug addicts are given help in a center and not in jail.
Now for Tia... I have no idea honestly. I'm not the author. I don't support their relationship. It's Tia's decision. I just wanted to understand why ppl supported Ruve. Understanding is NOT being empathic towards him. I wanted to purely understand the plot and why the author did what she did. I'm not supporting Ruve at all. I only want to see what will happen (=・ω・=)

Girl, you don't have to apologize for it. I can understand why you gave it 5 stars. Yes, Seungho is a horrible character and it portrays a toxic environment and relationship, but POTN is a VERY well constructed webtoon. The plotline, the way the characters are portrayed in the historical setting, the flow and conversations... I personally LOVE POTN for how well done it is. Seungho is an asshole, but he is a WELL-WRITTEN ASSHOLE.
So please don't apologize! Enjoy what you do and don't let ppl blame you for it... your morals and beliefs have nothing to do with what you're reading/enjoying. It's fiction, it doesn't mean you support that (=・ω・=)

Well, I'm saying this just in case. I don't support Ruve or the relationship. I just said I was able to understand the plotline. That doesn't mean I'm being empathic with Ruve or Tia, because both are the consequences of political plotlines and the neglect of healthy mental health/relationships. They are messed up characters, so I don't expect much at the end (=・ω・=)

In this case, more than blaming Ruve, I blame Tia. Yes, Ruve is different, but I'd have liked that she didn't end up with him at the end. If they could be on good terms, her family supporting Ruve as a king, that would have made a lot of sense to me. It's good that both of them won't be poisoned (like in the past timeline) so they could have been great rulers (Ruve as the emperor, and Tia as her family head).
So, I wonder why the author decided to keep them together anyway. I could understand the whole situation with Ruve in the past timeline, but not this. It probably has to do with how abuse is seen in Asia, I'm not sure. After all, our western mindset isn't the norm in other countries. Mental health is extremely stigmatized there as well :(

It's been a long while since the angst and drama from a webtoon has actually make me feel the pain, I'm happy the author decided to reboot her work through the webtoon and make it like this. it's good, can't wait to see the fight between Lari vs River and for her to find out it's in fact River and not the old Shuyin!
Idc for Khaol tbh, if he ends up helping River x Heil take Lari down so that River x Heil end up happily ever after, good for him. He'd at least do something worthwhile until his death.

Sharing a theory I came up with because I just can't relieve my stress :)
My prediction is that: Mr. Kim will talk to Nakyum before anything else, maybe discuss what actually happened to him and else... then, Nakyum (if miracles happen lmao because it's going to be hard af) he'll leave with his Noona. After they're gone, Mr. Kim will speak with Seungho and tell him what actually happened with Nakyum... Seungho will regret it all and probably drink to death (not really dying of course). Mr. Kim will know that Seungho needs Nakyum back, and although he feels Nakyum is better far away from him... he will feel for his master and look for him. Nakyum, knowing Seungho is THAT bad, will go back to him and they'll... talk???
I don't know why I came up with this but I can see the author pulling this off... don't ask me why. The reason I believe NK would come back even after leaving is probably due to his Stockholm Syndrome. Welp, leave your theories below :)

It becomes spoiler-ish, so please read at your own discretion.
I read what's available of the novel translated a few days ago (around 40 chapters). And I finally understand why there are so many discrepancies in the manhwa and why it's even awkward at times. Let us begin.
First of all, the manhwa author/artist added WAY too many characters here. There are simply too many characters that don't appear in the novel. The whole nobles gathering, the Duke of Rosia, Riolu (sorry if it isn't his name), and else... they simply don't exist (or at least they shouldn't exist at this point in the timeline). They were probably added to add drama but... it was badly handled. The kidnapping does happen, but it wasn't a big deal...
Second of all, Isabella WAS actually killed back when the twins' room was completely destroyed. She had already made a mistake in the past with the third prince, so the king had actually warned her that if she ever made another mistake with his children she'd be killed. The twins aren't attached to her at all nor consider her someone important, so they don't mind as much once she's gone.
NO EMPRESS, I have to emphasize this because it was honestly shocking just HOW MUCH it's been changed. Not ONCE was the empress brought up in the novel (up until where I read). No mention of her from no one really, much less Isabella or the princes. The twins know nothing of the empress, only that the king gave up his guardian maybe. The twins don't care either.
Continuing, there are many IMPORTANT conversations and discussions badly handled here. Conversations between the twins and the princes or the king that... simply weren't shown here. And not only that, many conversations that DO appear were drastically changed. For example, the twins have a deep conversation with Lloyd, the first prince, and they actually start feeling comfortable with him. He's the first person to actually apologize to them, tell them what happened on their side, and let them DECIDE for themselves (A TURNING POINT FOR THE TWINS IN THE NOVEL IMO). Then, they have an important conversation with the king... that was changed to the second prince (he doesn't have such a big role in the novel... it's actually Lloyd who has the most important interactions...). And well, I'm greatly disappointed by this.
There's more but this is quite enough honestly. I'm unsure if the novel was maybe rebooted??? Or if the translation was lacking in any way... but even then, it's too much of a change to simply be a mistake... I have no idea why it differs this much. I hope you enjoyed this and I apologize for any mistakes (English isn't my first language) ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

Also extra info: the twins trust no one. I mean it, they only believe in each other and have never tried opening up to NO ONE (before the conversation with Lloyd). So... seeing them interacting with ppl here is the most absurd concept to bring into the plotline. Their feelings and actions aren't inconsistent in the novel, they make sure to remind everyone just how hurt they are and how much they are to blame as well.

Thank you very much! This is very helpful since it is very confusing ╥﹏╥
And yes the problem is that they focused more on the drama rather than introducing the characters first. Now it looks like most of the characters are dumb decision making. Since there is no impression or somewhat like an attachment of the characters to the readers, most of the readers are dropping this.

I'm just happy I can help! I myself was very confused as well, that's why I picked up the novel in the first place hehe.
And well I can completely understand where they're coming from, I was very close to dropping it was well. It felt incoherent, and the plot itself felt rushed and inconsistent as well. It's sad the manhwa author/artist decided to change so much regarding the characters and even the plotline... ╥﹏╥ I wonder why did the original author let them...

The story is great imo, nothing outstanding so far (first few chapters) but it's still really really good and I liked seeing the abuse issue actually addressed by everyone involved.
I read it here: https://wuxiaworld.site/novel/the-twin-siblings-new-life/
(the translation is good enough to be read, some parts are harder to but it should still be fine!)

i found this site to read the novel if you want it: https://noveltrench.com/manga/the-twin-siblings-new-life/chapter-1/
He really went "understandable, have a nice day" and I oop
On a more serious note, I'm very happy nothing happened to Tamami and Izuhara while kidnapped.
