In this chapter, I pity Rashta. This whole story with the babys. It just sucks. It is pure torture and sht. And her lover isn't someone she can confide in for help.
I mean, it would be possible to take away the baby and get him a nanny, so that Rashta knows he is well and safe and so that he can not be used against her later. The previos owners life... Well there are many ways to silence someone.
And it suckt to not know the culture or this exact society and be happy about something, not knowing it was an insult and that one became the laughing stock now.
Like, how many of you would be happy to receive a Bouquet of flowers for a special occasion? And who would know that the number of flowers (odd or even) is highly important?
And this thing with slavery... It is so inhumane that such a life is determined by your birth for all the generations. Poor children.
I may have thought Rashta might've been rape by Allen which resulted her to be pregnant, and in the end the baby probably died (I'm suspicious about the baby being alive) and it sucks for her. But I still don't like how she's being a scheming btch and done some mean things to others.
I she was given falce promices by the owners son. Lime, eternal love and so on. Rashta is quite naive. And I doubt it was rape, because she was happy with the baby, she loved it and was looking forward to it.
She not a good person, no. But in comparisson to Soviesht, she is aughable, a small fry.
