since everyone is here checking to see if a new chapter is up (i dont think were getting one today, unfortunately), I think i may be a little late to the party, but in chapter 16, when milton was talking to milo, he said "well have ice cream, eat snacks, play, then take a nap somewhere warm and sunny" im pretty sure he meant milo dying right? since the hospital said there was nothing left they could do, so milton was going to give him the best day of his life and then help him to pass peacefully. BUT AFTER THAT, milo says "you too dad?" and milton slowly says "yeah, me too." ....WAS MILTON GOING TO KILL HIMSELF AFTER MILO DIED? started reading the novel bc i realized this was the end of the season and couldnt wait, but MAN it took me a while to figure out what chapter it left off on because the whole ending of the relic expedition played out very differently compared to the manhwa. melin never showed up (the vice-captain of the black swamp knights) to save marisa, but i dont think marisa was ever tied up either. also marisa, melin and jupien didnt fight the masked 5-star, but rather jupien was fighting them singlehandedly and almost died before christian saved her and defeated the masked guy on his own. he also never fought against ashid and damaged his energy core - maybe that happened before? idk i didnt back read that much, but i wonder what else was changed from novel to manwha (￣∇￣||) I guess all that matters is that langham was still the one behind it and the people fated to die didnt, so nothing super major changed

not sure why this has a lot of positive reviews? i only read the first few chapters but im already turned off by it. in actually mythology, it was apollo that fell instantly, not daphne. and daphne rejected apollo, literally pleaded with her father to turn her into a TREE to get away from him. maybe i just hate men too much but this is honestly giving me the ick how obsessed with this man she is when it seems like he doesnt really care about her. again, ive only read the first few chapters, but based on the saved images as well, it seems like he only cares about her body.

Of course a rendition story will not follow the exact tale of mythology. They gotta add more to make it separate from a basic copy paste of the original. That’s the case for all stories made from the premise of mythology.
In this story, Daphne falls first, Apollo leads her on. Then Eros shoots Apollo with an arrow to make him love Daphne, while he also shoots Daphne with an arrow of lead that makes her hate him. So now he’s the one chasing her. Anyways if you know about Greek mythology, you’d know rape is a common thing already in the original tales. The author seems to be including the same events as the og but tweaked with different details.

i cant really be on board with all the hate for pinkie. can a girl not be in love? shes so obviously just in love with leo and not plotting on sophia's demise. like lucas said she "bared her fangs" the first time her and sophia met, but did she threaten her? no. honestly shes so much better than other "og female leads" that try to terrorize the fl. after talking with sophia she realised she was a good person - there was the water bucket incident, but besides that its not like shes praying on sophia's downfall. she tried to confront the pope and ask if she was really a bad person, but, unfortunately, i feel like this girls biggest flaw is being naive. she doesnt have malicious intentions, she just wants leo to love her back, after shes been in love with him for over a decade. I feel like she might be going down a dark path after this icky looking long haired freak swept her up, which is really unfortunate. she was heartbroken she was rejected, but she was GOING to accept it. probably not anymore. idk man, i hope she gets redeemed and gets herself a man by the end of this, but probably not. these types of stories are soooo misogynistic pitting women against women when there are much bigger fish to fry.
I honestly feel bad for her at this point it's obvious the men around her are feeding her delusion of being with Leo because it's vital for their plan but I don’t know why. At this point she's going to crash out when she realizes the only reason Leo came to the holy knights was because they threatened the FL and then she'll probably turn into a true villainess.
