yes! my top picks are "heavenly grand archive's young master," "the return of the crazy demon," and "return of the flowery mountain sect." im honestly very picky when it comes to murim manhwa, but these three are honestly gems and are very highly rated. if you pick up any of them lmk!

theres also "I became the Despised Granddaughter of the Powerful Martial Arts Family" which follows a FL and typical rofan-like story but its set in the murim world and has a lot of martial arts. def one of my favs!

Bro why are you cooking so hard rn ;; but it’s so real how some stories just fall off when the mc grows up. I think one of the few that doesn’t is “I’ll be the matriarch in this life” but that’s also cause it’s not father-daughter focused and has an overarching plot and story progressions that don’t feel thrown in or stagnant.

Also, I think a ton of the father-daughter stories lose interest because I think the story starts to focus on the romance and the father literally begins to fade into the background. Like, the father is literally in the title, but I haven’t seen him in 20 chapters?? Give him screen time please ;;

Agreeable the new artstyle is scrumptious but the problem is Taekjoo's skin tone I think deep tan skin suits him more ┗( T﹏T )┛

IVANTILL MENTION!!! but yeah honestly, going back through the old chapters, there have been plenty of panels and whole chapters where taekjoo is paler than he usually is. i dont think its got anything to do with the new season, i just feel like there are sometimes inconsistencies with his skin tone, which is pretty common for korean works (like hyuna, shes got like 20 different shades but for the most part vivimeng get it right). hopefully with them going outdoors more or in different environments, different lighting = better shading. hopefully, fingers crossed

Well, if we were reading some kind of romance, then this polished artstyle would fit that, but not a story about fucking mafia Every scene is during sunrise/sunset, cuz the artist learned to draw it, so now she's putting it everywhere. Like yeah, the first two scenes might have looked cool, but when every single scene looks like that, it's rather cheap and kinda cringe. Not to mention that if you start something, you have to finish it- like if ¾ of the people are asking you if the artist has changed, then there's probably a problem Or what? If the artist decides to draw completely differently again, will s3 look unrecognizable again? And I'm not even going to talk about how terribly goofy they look during sex, that's really on the level of cheap hentai manga

brother, have you ever considered that peoples art styles change? that as a person grows as an artist, their art grows with them? asking if the artist changed doesnt mean theres a "problem," it means there's a notable difference in the art. whether thats a problem or not is entirely dependent on the reader and you will receive mixed responses from person to person, it is NOT the artists fault for expanding their horizons or dabbling in something new — insulting that is how you stunt an artists growth, by telling them to stay in their lane and only do the things theyve always done. look at literally any long running anime for example — bleach, one piece, naruto; plenty of people can say they enjoyed the og "classic" style of each series, but undeniably the change in art style was an improvement.

from an objective standpoint, no matter your personal feelings, the change in art here reflects growth, not regression. they have improved in lighting, anatomy, facial expressions and perspective, but youre not looking at that. youre upset that you cant view a story the way you want because youre too hung up on how you used to consume it and cant accept change.


that aside...im really not too sure what you mean by goofy facial expressions. they look...good? they honestly look great, im not sure how youre comparing it to hentai if im being honest...there isnt an absurd amount of blush, no cross eyed or tongue sticking out or loud moaning/screaming sfx (things i would consider cheap or hentai), so i really, really dont know what you mean they also only "had sex" one other time in s1, so i feel like theres isnt enough material to compare to and pass judgement on. i guess this is a more personal preference type of thing so i get where youre coming from, maybe im just not seeing it

i also dont get how youre comparing the art style to shoujo or rofan. THIS, i can say with certainty i disagree with, no rofan i know has this amount of mastery over anatomy, nor have faces that are as mature (most of them are very, VERY beautified, even super masculine bear like men look kinda cutesy), as dark environment/shading and muted colors, or have such sharp line art (unless it's the pointy chin curse). i have to believe either you dont actually read much of that genre, or youre so displeased with the change in art style that youre finding anything to nitpick about. i dont understand how you can have such a harsh opinion about a story you indulge in just over the art style, when the art style isnt even bad. its just a little different is all

No, not "a little different" - that's the whole point I'm gonna try summarize it in basic points. The artist changes style - yeah, she changes and it's great that she's learning new things, but this is about consistency. If you start something, you should finish it more or less the same way, not scrap it all cuz you suddenly feel like drawing something different. I haven't read any of the mangas you mentioned, so I can't confirm it 100%, but I'm more or less sure that they didn't change their drawing style as quickly and as drastically as here. And that's not just my opinion - actually read the comments where people think that someone completely different is working on it lmao I'll be able to tell you whether it's an improvement or not the moment every single scene doesn't look like one hoof during sunset/sunrise. Anatomically I would argue a lot about the improvement, about expressions I absolutely disagree. That brings us to the second point - sex scenes. If you like it, then we have nothing to talk about It looks really goofy when she tries to stuff those expressions on more "realistic" looking characters and not cartoonish. I'm laughing non-ironically the whole time at those scenes because I can't take them seriously with those faces. And as for the fact that it's hard to compare - just compare scene where Zhenya is sucking tits in s1 vs s2 and that's just comical. The last thing is that it looks like a romance - I'm not talking about anatomy or idk what, but about how too much polished it is. S1 had such a raw imperfect look that fit the tone of the story. I'll admit that it's a purely personal matter, so yeah, emotionally it feels like a basic average thing. Oh and also - I can have a negative view of the drawing style and at the same time like the story, I don't see why that should be excluded. If thanks to that people on the internet bully an artist back to consistency- then good, criticism should be expressed publicly - especially when I responded to a comment that was just about this lmao

As for y she wasnt pardoned it wasnt like she was put in a prison cell but probs kept the others contact on her to a minimum cuz of jealousy since he wanted her to pick him but didnt want to ask that of her if she wasnt saying it on her own.
