Honestly, thought it's not my favorite, I think this is one of the most well done "traveled back in time after I died to change my fate" stories. Partly because the driving conflict (being a better mom) is relatively mundane so it feels more relatable, but also because of how well main relationships of the story are treated. She isn't some villaness who was terrible to everyone - she's just a mom who regretted the way she treated her child. And then the reason she treated her son so badly originally isn't because she was just a shallow stuck-up person but because of very real mental health issues and a lack of support system that many people still struggle with today. And then we see that her son's treatment isn't even completely her fault, but the fault of issues with her husband as well, and her change doesn't immediately fix the problem, and the people around her aren't fully accepting of her new behavior, and THERE IS JUST SO MANY THINGS DONE WELL IN THIS STORY. Seriously. I have a lot of appreciation for the author crafting things in such a way that feel very realistic and understandable despite the fact that none of us have ever lived in medieval times and many of us have never had children of our own to compare to.

Honestly, the incest part of this hardly bothers me at all, purely because I don't think I can name a single mythology off the top of my head that doesn't involve incest in one way or another. Like, there's literally a Wikipedia page all about how often incestuous relationships pop up in the folklore and mythology of cultures all over the world. You really can't go into any story about mythology and not expect that incest will probably be in it. On the other hand, the rape did bother me, and I had to skim through quite a few chapters, and that's specifically because I still haven't hopped on the rape fetish train, despite the popularity it seems to have among many manga/webtoon fans. Yes, sexual assault is a frequent event in many different mythologies as well, and I fully expected to see it in this webtoon, but there's a difference in reading that one god assaulted another and reading a graphic depiction of the assault in a way that could be interpreted as titillating, so I understand if there were other readers who found it to be an issue. That being said, this was a very solid story overall, which is more than I can say for a lot of other assault-heavy stories on this website, and the author has my respect for the work they put into this.
(Also, the extra about Seth becoming tiny was hilarious and was a nice break from the doom and gloom of the canon story.)

God damn, this author really managed to get my hopes up one last time. When Bella was thinking "it's too late to undo" and "I'll never be fond of him the same way," I was starting to hope that maybe, just maybe, the story could take a real hard look at everything Kiris did and recognize that forgiving someone and deciding to love them again can be two different things. But no. They're gonna get married and live happily ever after, because who cares.

Err... what just happened? How exactly did they win in the end? And wasn't Ryujin supposed to become an immortal? If he didn't, how did he survive? Is everything just a dream/illusion now or something?

Ryujin prayed to the Gods to give Imae a chance to feel happiness and never feel sad, Imae's happiness is basically Ryujin's recovery from his injury and as well as the priviledge to stay beside Ryujin forever and live happily, lovey dovey. Since Ryujin is not an ordinary human, I guess he was heard by the Gods or was either given help from the immortal being who possibly went inside him or something? Immortal beings are supposed to use Ryujin's body to ascend into heaven and from what I remember, I believe that it was one of the immortal beings who told Ryujin to pray enough in order for your wish to be granted. I guess, Ryujin remembered that moment and gave it a shot during his near death experience as he leaned against Imae's warmth as his dear lover wraps his arms around Ryujin with soft dripping tears that streamed down his cheeks to his beloved, Ryujin's pale yet fair skinned complexion. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭(〜 ̄△ ̄)〜 ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

You guys, I'm so sorry. I know this is supposed to be sad and it definitely is, because Hide passed on and the message of the story is that it's important to love and engage with the world despite the fact that we all die. But also, this story will always be vaguely hilarious to me because Hide died from getting hit by lightning. He didn't trip and fall down the stairs. He didn't get hit by a car or a bus. Nothing fell on him. He was standing in the middle of a soccer field and just randomly got hit by a bolt of lightning. Which isn't impossible, yeah, but it's also something that happens so little that it feels very obvious that the author decided to kill him to make a point, and it wasn't just an everyday event-turned-accident that unfortunately took his life, which is funny to me for some reason. But I don't know, maybe probably my sense of humor has been skewed from the too much manga that I read.

On one hand, building up bad karma by murdering people is surely bad for the soul. On the other hand, I agree with Ryun's logic, all those politicians did terrible awful things and definitely deserve to be murdered for it. In the end, giving them proper trials is the right thing to do. But murdering them is the satisfying thing to do and I'm going to enjoy it until the FL figures out a way to stop Ryun.
I know those grandmas were supposed to come of as judgy and truthfully Japan IS super harsh and judgemental towards single mothers. Buuuuuut, to be fair, if I saw a high school student with that many kids and an oldest child who could pass for 4 or 5, and she said she was their mother, I would also be very very horrified.
"From what age have you been gicing birth child? To have this many????"
true it is understandable in the real word we don’t just get babies from flowers or by holding hands and then they pop out lol
Step daughters and step sons is logical explanation. I have see a person, a mom who used to be my neighbours has 11 child at the age of 23. It isn't her children, she only give birth to 2 but all 9 others is her step children.
I see where you're coming from, but also, I think I would continue to be horrified if a 16 year-old was already married and was the maternal guardian of 6 kids. Like, maybe that's possible in a totally innocent and non-concerning way, but I'm gonna say 99 times out of 100, I'm going to be very worried about why anyone is allowing the teenager to be in that position.
Understandable
