I love the plot, absolutely think it’s slaps, but the development is a little weird. I can understand Eiji’s development towards Caleb. But as the reader, we dont know Caleb’s reasoning for his actions. So it comes off a little fast for me to have Caleb react the way he did in the end of this chapter (5). DON’T get me wrong, I love it. But seeing it as it is, I just can’t wait for some answers. Also, Caleb gives off Sebastian (Black Butler) vibes when holing cats lol and Eiji is FUCKING ADORABLE AS A CHILD.
Wow, I am in love. The plot and the trauma is so good! I do feel the need to clarify though on asexuality. The way it’s phrased in this manga is wrong (whether that was on purpose or not, I’m not sure).
٩( ᐛ )و Asexual is a term used to describe a person who lacks sexual interest/desire. It is an umbrella term because there are many if, and or buts within the term. But overall, the person doesn’t feel or develop sexual attraction. The reasoning can be as simple as they literally just don’t feel attraction to any sex or trauma (although it is insulting how most people would assume trauma). An asexual person can still masturbate and even have sex if they so chose to, but it’s the development and desire of seeing a person as sexually arousing that is nonexistent. The main point is, asexual is NOT the same as celibate (a person who chooses not to have sex).
(ㆀ˘･з･˘) How the manga actually described asexuality is called aromantic. It’s a person who doesn’t develop any romantic feelings. So yeah, they could comfortably have sex if they wanted to, but romantic feelings are not behind it.
This manga talks about sex and romance as two different things, but then lumps them together sometimes as if they go hand in hand. Clearly as we read how Shii had sex with some random dude cause he looked like Tamaki proves that. There were no romantic feelings towards his sex partner. Now whether Tamaki is asexual or not is up to him. His fear of sex definitely stems from his childhood and how he was raised with his mother. That is definitely trauma. But if he wants to pursue a relationship with Shii, they’d need to do some serious talking about their relationship on a sexual level. Yes, Shii has heavily sexual tendencies (which isn’t bad, but is bad without consent or safety) and as we know as the reader, he wants to have sex with Tamaki. Tamaki grew up to fear sex though due to his mother’s bad relationships and the pressure for him to not grow up ‘like those men’. I will say this, sexuality is fluid. Tamaki can definitely develop sexual feelings towards Shii and it not be forced. It could be because he is more comfortable around Shii so he’s more willing. But until we read more, haha, it’s hard it’s say.
Sex and romance are two different things. Growing up in a world where it is taught to sex is a sin yet sex is normal by nature (but only between a man and woman since ‘The Man’ wants to be homophobic) is infuriating and of course misleading. Sexuality is fluid!

Thanks for the upload, but honestly I can’t wait to Tappytoon to get this far so I can actually understand what’s going on. The plot is very good and of course, the wild fucking sex is there, but the plot slaps, but I would just love to understand it better. I also love every chapter opening page. Stylistically, this upload is way better than the previous one, but I think because of the previous one (and the out of sequence and some confusing translations) this chapter was confusing. From what I get, Dr. Dude decided to tell him about Cain’s staying in the human world. This new dude Ben comes along, and he appears to be an ally. I don’t think we’ve seen him before. And police boy has bright blue eyes because of his smexy time with Cain and that power/healing thing (I’m assuming is what they were referring to) and I guess they knocked out his friend to drag back to what looks like the doctors apartment.

The site also has other BL manhwa like On and Off and I think Hyperventilation. Personally, I really want to own Painter Behind the Curtain.
