TL;DR: Read this expecting a reinterpretation of Egyptian mythology, not as a love story.
The rule of thumb in mythology is that what goes for humans is different from what goes for gods. In most popular mythology incest is common because the gods are like an endangered species in a way, they have to reproduce with close relatives otherwise they would just make hybrids with other species (i.e. demigods are essentially hybrids).
As for it being rapey, this is a surprisingly semi-faithful reinterpretation. If you wanna give gods hell for assault you'll want to direct your attention to primary sources in which Zeus is an egregious offender and serial slut. The author was trying to be faithful to the source in a way, they don't condone rape or incest but the primary sources were filled with it. They actually made myths less rapey than they had a tendency of being.
Seth and Horus definitely kanoodled at least once in actual source material, the author just chose to make it more apparent.
