I took a break from this and was considering picking it back up only to be bombarded by Vercion hate. My fave character is that servant that always mind his business but I didn’t particularly hate or like Vercion. I do think I passed the chapter were Vercion went wild on the MC, but all the characters except that servant and his boo is toxic, especially the MC.
He literally masqueraded as a god becoming a cult leader to coerce people, HOLY MEN, into having sex with him. Even if we look past the toxic love interests he still manipulated innocent mob characters into sex with him.
I’m not defending Vercion because he was wrong but why does the MC get a free pass? And I know about his tragic backstory, the whole cast got one. And as seen victims sometimes cope by becoming the perpetrators but since when did that excuse anything.

I think it's cause tho what mc and vercion did are technically the same vercion is controlling and becomes violent whereas the MC is really only in it for the sex and will stop if it gets too far
Again not excused and they are both toxic but people generally are far more against violence and controlling behavior

No, it’s just sex all over again (upcoming). I mean if you don’t mind a lot of smut, it’s okay. I feel like the plot got lost somewhere or just delayed hard.
Just animals fucking. And I agree so much, MC is the #1 manipulator, so I can’t really feel bad for
him as he’s the one who’s been making the guys think sex (without teaching consent) is worship.

I might have also got Stockholm syndrome. I’m sorry ╥﹏╥ the sob story worked. Throw your stones I accept them.
Also, I saw a comment saying the side story is much better, so I checked out the raws. I only took a quick glance but why does it look like an entirely different story with the same characters if they had a glow up.

Despite not being called a mother Hwan still acts like it. Even the father is a good parent. Compared to so many side stories where the main CP become so wrapped in themselves or have a nanny raise the kid, this couple is actually very present.
What is a parent if not someone that protects, teaches, and spend time with their kid? Not to diminish the title of mother, but does someone deserve it if they don’t do those things for their child?
The MC and ML are also only doing this tournament for their kid. They’re better parents than most I see in Manhwa unless the story focuses on family.

But I think it makes sense for people to be okay with ML being a serial killer but not a pedo. Often in fiction you’ll have antiheroes and mafia male leads…it’s a gimmick.
Meanwhile pedophilia is a moral line that most people would not like crossed even in fiction. Similarly I think most people won’t tolerate a child abuser in fiction either because it’s a tighter moral boundary. Children are one of the most vulnerable populations so even in fiction I think most people have a protective nature.
I’m more confused if other people are shocked at this response. Like is it a joke trend or something.

Could the conversation not wait till she wasn’t covered in coffee and still de-escalating after having an episode? I don’t think he was wrong for dumping her. He was wrong for how he did it.
Actually, I lied. He was wrong for dumping her in private and wanting to stay together on the surface for benefits. It’s very sad because she wasn’t even concerned about that. She wanted to know how he could care so little for her.
They just made a cliche villainess story into a BL. Also, I dislike how MC described the og person as arrogant and selfish for wanting his husband’s attention, but doesn’t mention how cruel the ML is to think of one of his partners as dispensable.
