What exactly just happened? I feel like I missed something between ch.2 and 3, and then like some explanation was missing at the end to give context to the last bit.
Never mind that Maru went from being clueless to clued in rather suddenly. Nor that he seems really rather superficial when he tells 'Hyung' that he'll like him for his face.
All in all ch. 3 to me felt odd, rushed, and like it just wanted to wrap things up conveniently.
While part of this felt very emotionally true, there were other parts in contrast that didn't. Yuri's feelings are so relatable that you really want to root for him. But Yamabuchi on the other hand seems to make a switch out of nowhere, as if changing sexual orientation just to keep Yuri happy and their friendship is no biggy. Or rather because this is yaoi. And while I really liked both characters and found them appealing, the interaction and development between them just felt wrong.
Oh wonderful, finally an update. I had to reread the story to get back into it.
So who is the mystery wannabe assassin if not the red headed girl? And what can be the awful awful secret that the brothers can't possibly tell the MC? And how would it involve that guy's brother who was just in the hospital? I feel like this is a strange yaoi version of Soap- "all of these questions and more will be answered (maybe) on the next episode".
While I get the principle of stopping to scanlate I personally hate it. Especially where they stopped in this case. But I'm not going to remember to go to all the various different sites where the mangas are available for free. Nor do I want in certain cases to have to download apps that would compromise my privacy just to read one manga or manwha. That is the advantage of a forum like this, you get it all in one place. Or not.
So I don't get it. If it is free anyway is it the author or the site that loses out if it is scanlated and read elsewhere? I would suspect the site. The author just gets more exposure with no effort.
Was it me, or did the seme in the end want the uke but then it was the uke who then for the normal stupid trope uke reasoning ran out? I just felt like I got most of the story in the 1st ch. and can predict the rest.
Hello, my fellow Dane!
The uke had felt rejected in the past when he had tried to confess to the seme, so he quickly made it seem like a joke instead to save their friendship. He then realised that behaving jokingly made it much easier being "honest" about his feelings. If you read the whole thing it's actually not got the whole "worn-out trope" feel to it. Definitely recomend if you have the money!
(I bought it and read it on Renta - ebookrenta.com )
As someone else has said at least this ch. gives us an idea of why Anton might be so captivated with Arwin. He identifies with him. The only problem is Anton couldn't have known about any of that when he first got obsessed with Arwin. He only found out about that (Arwin's relationship with his father, his mixed heritage) as a consequence of his initial obsession. If you think about what actually made Anton want Arwin initially, and Arwin reject Anton it says nothing good about either of them.

I think the story is off to a good start. The characters and problems are realistically portrayed, and no one so far has been made to be the "bad guy" in this. Not even the mother. Though I hope it doesn't take her too long to figure out that her son being happy with the right somebody is far more important than him hiding his misery and trying to fake it being someone he isn't to please her and society.
