I stopped reading this a while ago to take a break from reading but still remember most of the major plot points. But I'm still confused on who the ML is. I remember really liking the red hair guy, and don't get me wrong. I like the blonde guy too (I forgot their names). But I don't wanna pick this back up if the blonde guy is the ML, bc the age gap....
Also, should I let this marinate for longer? Please let me know!!

Just wanted to share—based on the original novel, Luminas is actually the confirmed male lead, and yes, he and Aisha do end up together. But the story doesn’t rush it at all. There’s no romance while she’s still a kid. Luminas stays respectful the whole time, more like a guardian figure at first. The romantic part only starts once Aisha becomes an adult and has matured emotionally. So it’s not some creepy or forced thing—it’s slow-burn and mutual. For now, the manhwa is focused on Marianne and Aisha’s healing, not romance. I totally understand and appreciate your opinion though—we all see things differently, and that’s okay. Let’s just wait and see how it unfolds.

okay well that's the thing that's controversial abt stories like. Like the lifespan of an elf or a god in fantasy stories always have them be 1000+ years old, but bc they age slower they may mentally be 16 years old. Like when we say a dog is 6 years old but is 42 in dog years. It's almost impossible to compare that with the short lifespan of a human. Like we can't compare a dogs age to a humans.

This is just my take to understand stories like this. Your take implies that you're okay with implied pedophilia in fictional works, which morally and ethically, is still wrong. I just tried to give an explanation from my view point of how I see age gaps in fiction, by comparing to similar cases in real life. Because obviously age gaps between literally god and a human don't exist on earth.
I think that if I knew an adult (who was like my teacher) when I was a child, and they started liking me when I turned 18 i would be insanely creeped. But ofc not everyone may agree with me just bc this is a piece of fiction, spreading not so good themes.

istg if i cry bc of this manga i'm gonna be mad at myself for picking it up. I thought this would just be a quick and easy, fun little read but seeing where the story is headed now, I highly doubt that. As long as the author gives the two a proper ending i will not be mad, but i do have my tears prepared.
also i would 100% crack baa-san and jii-san

omg i remember picking this up way back when it first started... is it still ongoing?
I usually try not to drop mangas i've started so I remember trying to hang on to this and try to push through but i just could not get myself to like any of the characters. I especially disliked the ML and remember dropping it when he got REALLY obsessive.
Also the anime was just as bad if not worse so i dropped that too

sorry if i offended u but this is a discussion space, and i wanted to see if it was ongoing. I saw other comments saying they were emotional for the last chapters and wanted to see what that was about.
Also i don't think i'm someone in a position to criticize a work when i am just a humble reader. Not trying to hate but to say my own opinion.

idk if it's the nostalgia or the art style or the story in general, but I just love this. I read this wayyyy back and have reread it again and again. Usually I really like hopeless people in love, but even though this one's different, I still really enjoyed it. Their dynamic is funny, yet also cute and wholesome. Although they sometimes made me mad, they actually worked it out.
I just wish there was more to the ending tho .
also i really hate the second ML

i hate this and I hate the live action even more.
I've read countless mangas but this one was one of the worst. The main characters were annoying and lack luster, and I especially dislike Matsunaga. He was weird since chapter 1. Just imagining living with a guy like him sends chills down my spine. The FL was also pretty annoying at times but it's pretty generic for a manga during this time. Although they had their cute moments the weird first meeting, dynamic, age gap, and then as a whole makes me forget abt it pretty quick. The last few parts felt pretty rushed and was quite strange but honestly this whole thing was pretty strange. I honestly liked a lot of the side characters more and a lot of them deserved better.
All in all I don't recommend this, and I especially don't recommend the live action EVER.
ALSO JUSTICE FOR RYO HE WAS MY FAVORITE. Forget the FL and get with me pls

idk if you've seen it or not but the actor is a pretty famous idol, and this got a live action like last year i think. I will admit he is really good looking, but his acting is just SO BAD. He had starred in other dramas before but they were all known for the actors being second-rate. The kind where the directors r trying to sell it not based off acting or storytelling, but by the actors face cards and popularity.
It doesn't help in this case bc i already did not like the story, but his acting makes it 100000 times worse.

I remember watching the anime wayyyyy back when it first came out and reading the manga after. there were some times where I was a little bit worried about where the story was heading, especially with like the whole step sibling thing, but I think the author handled it really well without making it too weird. I honestly really like the story and all the fluff but, I am a sucker for wholesomeness. It had a good mix of misunderstanding arc as well as wholesomeness arc as well as trauma arc, and like all the backstory stuff and i think it played out really well.
This is a classic and household staple manga and I recommend as a easy first read for anyone

okay first of all if you read this and love it too then PLEASE, read the sequel AND watch the live action movie. I TRUST u that they are both amazing and u will want more.
second of all this author must be a genius. I've read countless mangas but not too many have made me literally itch for more. It seems like such a simple and short story but it is definitely more than that. Especially after reading the sequel (it's still ongoing) these two have a relationship that u really can't put a label or name on, and it's not something that can easily described with words. I usually don't read stories that don't have a clear plot line or end goal, but despite that I keep reaching for more in this story.
Also bonus points for Kyouji being hot af
I watched the BL drama first and one more so I immediately came to read the manhwa. I love their dynamic and I love the characters sm. Theyre literally the perfect enemies to lovers, and are so cute. Although I wish there was more to the ending i'll let it slide cus of the BL drama.
HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone looking for an enemies to lovers (with a litttle smut).
I cannot literally cannot find it for the love of my life can please send me the link
if you’re asking about the drama i believe it’s on Viki it’s in the app store that’s where i watched it a while back
