been reading this manga for a while now and its bugging me every time i read the chapters bc him being a netkama is the focal point of the story, but does anyone know korean gaming culture here? do they really take it seriously if youre a guy who pretends to be a girl (and what happens if youre a girl who pretends to be a guy)?
like i just really cant understand being that pissed. im talking about yoona mainly. ok, i get the money thing, but her disgust seems to be mainly directed to mc being a netkama, which i just really dont understand bc its the internet bruh, and its a game, its not really that serious in my opinion. even her ex bf, cant he be classified as a netkama?
ig this is also the reason why i was cringing when seme/ml was mad when he found out mc was a man. i refuse to believe skoreans are that dumb or trusting to not entertain the idea that the person behind their avatar might be of the opposite sex. like, its the internet!!!! u always proceed w caution, esp w relationships made on the internet!!!
idk what im trying to say except that i dont understand the hate for the netkama thing and why uke should always have to feel afraid to be harrassed and shamed by other people for it. i thought the point of the internet was that u get to be anyone, even just for fun
i just finished this today and i have a couple of thoughts i just wanna put out haha:
1) love LOVE the main story but it bothers me that all throughout, doyun seemed irresponsible and never cared about learning how to control his pheromones and everything that comes with being an omega. that seemed immature to me, which is why i was glad that during the first knotting, he wasnt pregnant.
and also, i know doyun doesnt really feel the need to learn about being an omega bc he has taehan and he has such good people around him (side eyes at dohwa), but its not like he's going to be around them all the time. good thing its fiction though and omegaverse is not real bc im just thinking like if it exists in reality, that attitude of doyun is for sure gonna get him in trouble that taehan will not be able to save him from.
2) I LOVE TAEHAN'S OMEGA FATHER. there, i said it. the gap between his "frank" and nonchalant attitude and him being so caring is sooo . like calling dohyun "cutie"???? he got my heart too when he first appeared haha. it def helps that he's drawn so handsomely.
3) their wedding is so luxurious???? was it paid for by their families? 'cause i know dohyun and taehan's salaries wouldnt have been able to cover it. i know its like fiction but i was lowkey getting stressed wondering where they were getting the money haha. also i thought the new home/apartment was already part of taehan's wedding gifts but i guess not lol.
4) tf was that side story? i mean i kinda already saw it coming just from the main story but the author really drew/wrote dohwa sa his brother AND THEN made dojun just react like that??? i know he has been under dohwa's fingers this whole time but i feel like he would've snapped and be utterly disgusted at what dohwa did. what he did with living together w the doctor made it seem like he was just running away. what would dojun have done if his boyfriend didnt bring up cohabitation? continue staying home with that trash? i wanted to see dojun fully stand up to dohwa and break free from his control and allat shit. like i know theyre not together now, but psychologically, it feels like dojun is still under dohwa's control. goddd i also wanted to see dohwa break down and suffer bc dojun just absolutely hates him now.
5) i wanna say that from the blank bubble, dojun is adopted, but i guess i'm trying to make it make sense according to what the characters said. dohwa said his parents had him bc they wanted an omega, which to me means he was like conceived by the mother bc there was intention, like how some parents want a boy but end up having a girl etc. also it seems like dohwa is a year or two older and if dojun was truly adopted, he would have known/remembered. i have a year younger than me brother and i remember memories of him being on my mom's stomach, stuff like that. i think the blank bubble was just an expression of dohwa's heartbreak that they were indeed brothers since it was also from his pov, and if dojun was adopted, given how dohwa is, he would have pursued dojun regardless bc he wouldve repeated the reason that they are not blood related over and over until it compels him to take action. like he doesnt have great self control either considering how he sa'd his brother.
dang i really like kaede. been shipping them so much since kaede started warming up to MC. i also like the president's younger brother, the one who tagged along the fishing trip. lmao this is my first time shipping a character w one of the romantic interests. didnt even ship anyone with the mc with ouran host club, uta no prince sama, and yumeiro patissierie (thats all the reverse harem anime/mangas i could remember i read and or watched but there was probably more).
i know by the direction of the story that the crown princess rivals would become friends w our fl, but cecilia, or the blonde haired girl, really grates my nerves w her bringing up fl's dad and then kinda dismissing the win against the bandits to only become due to the crown prince. just arrgghhh. look at u girly doing the same thing society is doing to u, dismissing one's efforts and capabilities. and like, i didnt expect her to be insensitive???? its literally known that fl lost her fam bc of the war and u just bring it up like that. i know shes a noble and all and that she lives a cushy life but there has to be a line somewhere, considering even nobles in high society fake sympathy and all that shit. i was expecting to see a panel of hers thinking, 'that was embarrassing' bc gurl, u HAVE to realize u doing too much. even the prince kinda cringed.
w all that said, i hope theres at some point in the story she regrets the incidents i mentioned and apologizes to the fl. im kinda iffy abt it bc w these kind of stories, girl side character gets forgiven and her "sins" are forgotten the moment she becomes buddy buddy w fl. like ugh, that just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
lmao potato, why expect loyalty from someone who treated them like shit? u cant deny jaekyung is shit, and the fact that they always had to walk eggshells around him... even the gym tolerates his personality bc he is their breadwinner. cant blame those guys honestly.
also, is it just me but why did the coach only blame jaekyung? i reread the chapters and it seems like they were the one who blew up on dan, jaekyung's reaction was kinda tame this time (lol even i cant believe it).
lmao the crown prince so spoiled. now he wants hestia when shes this "shiny object" thing like how he wanted diana when it was her. he'll never find his happiness only wanting the good stuff. i feel like its bc his position, as the crown prince and just someone born in royalty, that he feels like he's entitled to all the good and none of the bad, which is probably why he unknowingly took advantage of kael's guidance and everything, bc he saw it as his birth right (can't remember the specifics; been too long i last read it and too lazy to reread the very first chaptersssz). i know he's showing remorse in the latest chapter, but i hope he still SUFFERRR. so much, and hestia to be openly hostile to him that it hurts him so much he'd never think about wanting her again and doing some stupid shit like confessing to your (ex)bestfriend that you fancy his wife.
edit: may i emphasize that he only wants hestia after diana was not as "shiny" as he thought. also, i was screaming at him during the envoys thing bc its painfully obvious he does not know how to resolve a relationship conflict. like i know diana's bad but come on dude, approach your wife w subtlety!!! u know she has enmity towards hestia but its like u just straight up told her u stand w hestia more than her. assure her, talk w her about your worries and concern about the banquet or luncheon, do it softly, remind her that despite her beliefs, she represents the kingdom. well, more opening for hestia i guess for their downfall.
i feel like the author is setting up the king to be some kind of antagonist... as much as i hope for fluff all the way (given how much Alis waited for her give the poor guy a break w his beloved, thats all he wanted ), the king might propose he marries a daughter of his (i was already scared he was gonna do that when Alis slayed the dragon) so that he can get the land. well, whatever it is, a third or fourth person for sure is gonna get in the way of their happiness
i have no words for this manga (i actually have for adam and his horniness and his attempted in the beginning but pretty standard for yaoi so imma not flesh it out), literally such smooth story telling, it feels like im downing chocolate milk or something. but anyway, just w the end, i have a question. Adam mentioned his mother, the queen, keeps his half-brothers like a lover. so like, does she have s*x with them??? cause it was mentioned she not right at the head also. like, what do yall think, i literally cant move on from that teeny tiny detail haha.
just discovered this today. pretty cute and great story, and i love how the everyone loves the main character trope is executed. there are a few shoujo isekais i read who do that trope but i just end up cringing (i hope shoujo manhwa isekai writers can take note how its done here sksk). but also, let's not forget that mc is kinda, slightly being homophobic. like tf u mean bl is for watching? thats real life for u now boi/gurly, so now it's for experiencing. not like mc can go back to his past life either. its a bit disappointing that he still sees the other characters as game characters when he's living with them now, especially w that montage of his brother taking care of him and stuff. but overall a great read.
