Before I continue I want to clarify that, regarding my following paragraph, I'm just saying I'm only gonna judge Castor for his actions and not for something that's really outside of even his own control because I really believe it tarnishes everyone with the same brush not just him.

But I think you missed my point. When you said he looks like a prostitute because of his clothes you're suggesting that everyone who wears clothes like that looks like a prostitute, regardless of how cool or not you think the wearer is. Because that's just the style of clothing they wear in the empire. If these are clothes that everyone else wears we really can't blame someone (no matter how sh!tty that person is) for wearing the clothing of their people.

I don't know if it's translator messing up or it's a real thing, but sometimes the 'imperial concubine' title holds almost the same strength as an empress so it really confuses me sometimes

Imperial concubine usually not having the marriage ritual in full, but only a ceremony of conferring the title hence why they aren't legal wives. Concubines will also be freely gifted to anyone when they lost the favor. While for imperial consorts and the empress usually will take marriage ritual (for the empress ofc it'd be real sacrilegious and grand scale marriage)
But yes, as long as no one is the rightful wife in the harem, she'll be in charge for household affair.
But since the MC isn't a male concubine and part of the inner household officially yet rather the Emperor's person, I think the concubine actually had no right to punish him unless he really offended her.
