Omg I’m the opposite I just can’t see someone as uptight as Nathan taking the lead. Meanwhile Gakane is all easygoing and confident - I can totally see him teasing Nathan, making him all flustered and awkward. And Gakane would just blink, like, “wait… this guy’s actually adorable??”

We have a few side character couples. Most of them don’t get a huge amount of screen time given how the story is very focused on Yuder’s relationships but we do have a gay couple coming soon TM. We have some implied lesbians in the Southern arc afair and a male character who has a HUGE crush on Ever turns up but we’ll have to wait and see if that comes to fruition. There’s another straight couple in the West arc as well. As we see them all from Yuder’s perspective for the most part we don’t really get much of their relationships but it’s interesting seeing how naturally integrated a lot of these romances are in the grand scheme of things. (I’ve only read up to 1148 so I haven’t seen anything with Gakane or Nathan, lol).
I think I’m giving a lot of people false hope on accident so I wanna clarify the I think part as I’m not entirely sure if they will even be a couple. It was just around chapter 1200 something that Gakane gave Nathan flowers. The story doesn’t honestly focus on any other couple mainly beside the main one so everything else is just living on crumbs.

Besides the implied lesbians in the southern arc. Emperor keilusa and empress faria are hugely important alongside a gay side couple (but tbh they’re relevant during the apeto experiment arc but are apart of the supporting cast now). Ever and dude that has a crush on her (no name bc spoilers) are even more slowburn then kishiyu (Ever is so oblivious…). Nathan and gakane only started to interact around the 1000+ so yeah…

Yuppp... You may not notice it but some of us do. It may not be the 'art' that you want, it may not be comparable to other popular manhuas out there. But in our eyes, if it got better, then surely we see that as an improvement.
Also, I think the author is still looking for their own style thats why we see some changes here and there. But as the end approaches, I see a consistency in their art and that deserve a thumbs up lols
