It's been a long time since there were any updates on this manga. Has it been dropped? Or is the scanlation group defunct?

I don't know whether the scanlation group is defunct or not but I know that the manga is already complete. I have the manga at home.

In my country it got licensed. (I am german.) But I think it didn't get licensed in english yet.

You're welcome. Yeah, that may be the case. I hope for everyone who cannot read german or japanese that it will get licensed in english in the future because I liked the story. I would rather not have it as a finished scanlation on the Internet because there will be less people buying it (I am actually the type of person who buys every manga I liked (even if it is just a bit) in any language I can understand at least a bit. So I even buy them in french from time to time even though I need a dictionary for almost every sentence)

I have a friend whose a fellow fujoshi and works in Japan. I wire-transfer some funds every 3-4 months along with a wish-list and when she's shopping for her own faves and spots the ones I like, she puts together a care package for me. I get a big box of books about twice a year. I tried it other methods, but found the language barriers almost insurmountable.

:-) I don't get yaoi delivered for Christmas, so it's better than Christmas. I know there are brokers in Japan who will deal with special orders — hunting down doujinshi for specific fandoms at conventions, or the works of specific mangaka. I don't know any brokers personally, but if you asked around, there may be someone who could point you. Why don't you post a query on the front page of Mangago and see?

But are they all in Japanese then? Sigh if I'd known how obsessed I'd get with manga I would have begged to learn Japanese as a child instead of the other ones I did learn.

I like this manga. The story is very engaging, but I find the artwork so incongruous. The boys are men, and behave with the measured reserve and self-control of adults, but they look like schoolboys and it feels a little weird. It isn't that the artwork is unpleasant. They look very cute. They just don't look like the men they are.

Okay, so is the idea that a guy's dick gets bigger if he abstains from sex for a few weeks now an irreversible part of yaoi mythology, up there with self-lubricating buttholes, magic uke dicks that get hard instantly right after coming, and semes always being the bigger male of the two? Because that certainly gave me a giggle. I mean, maybe, if Shunsuke saved it up after a spell where he had been wanking 5 or 6 times a day ... conceivably ... naw, not even then. It's as though Takagi Ryou thinks that sperm can be saved up as a natural penis size-swelling device. Ah, if only!

Also the fact that uke butts are always clean and they always cry during sex.

Ah well it was whooping cough brought in by my kids (we were a happy bunch of barking dogs around christmas), which diminished to bronchitis - but that was far too mainstream, so I went ahead with laryngitis. Now I've got a "vow of silence" and lots of pretty gay pills (you know - multicoloured), which are supposed to cure...eh...all of it.
But to return to the main point, you forgot about the "nonono"-mantra the average uke has to mutter 'til completion.
I don't know what kind of survey prompted these clear-cut "flavouring ingredients" but - one rarely sees deviants. That makes them all the more precious (≧∀≦)

Funny comment, but you have obviously never lived in an apartment building with a 'screamer' - Every night, she would scream so loud the whole apartment complex would hear her! Once a week the superintendent would have a list of complaints about the noise ... LOL It was torture for about 1/2 a year, then they moved out.

See, I'm a very suspicious person and doubt that screamers are as out-of-control as they want the rest of the world to think. I think they are utterly sincere in their act ... of exhibitionism.
So what did you do in the meantime? Rustle up some popcorn and hand out party hats? Wait 'til the show was over and then give her a big applause and Olympic Judging style number count?

We were a little to chicken to do that (This was my first apartment on my own (I was almost 18 at the time) and most of my fellow neighbours were uni students too, so we just ducked and covered, then complained to the landlord ... hehe - mind you we did the same with the house parties too, until we started hearing things break ...) Canadians - we're too polite for our own good sometimes.

You're right, these gay pills are a cure for everything..STDs, common sense, worls agony...
:-D

Okay, I don't know why but I can't stand Riju for some reason. He annoys the hell out of me! (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
Damn what a fine fine brothers Chisato has... I drooled...ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

This is a great story so far and the art is really beautiful, but did anyone else notice how the style looks a bit like Disney?

I think it's the eyes (and facial expressions maybe) that sometimes reminds me of Disney. Idk, it's like a combination of what we typically would consider as Japanese manga/anime art and American comics/animation art. Especially if you look at their art, you can see a combination of both (or at least in my opinion):

Well it probably reminds you of Disney because someone always dies. Great story but the guys really don't connect yet.

Thanks for the link, Kathy. It's gorgeous art, but it has a slightly American quality to it ... hints of Atlantis, Tarzan, Tangled. It doesn't look like Frozen or Mulan or Hercules, though; so, maybe not Disney per se, but one particular animator/animation group within Disney? The mannerisms, too, where there is a lot more physicality in throwaway gestures, like blowing out of the side of the mouth with exasperation or leaning on an arm just so ( http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/canis/mh/v02/c001/pg-25/). And you're right, the Japanese style is there, too, especially with the gestural quality, which reminds me a lot of Nakamura Asumiko. Anyway, I like it and there's a lot of freedom with the way the hair and bodies are drawn. It's a very attractive style and the story is great.

Yeah, I agree with Kathy. It's only the art that has a few elements and gestures which look influenced a bit by Disney ... and not ALL of Disney, but very specific movies (Tarzan, Tangled and Atlantis.) The rest is pure Japanese.
Also, apart from the New York Mafia Dons back in Ryou's past, nobody has died so far, so what did you mean?

Ahh, you must be talking about Glen Keane. Yeah, I can see a bit of his style in this. He's got a style that works really well with both flowy and blocky shapes and he's a real master of making his lines really look alive. It makes for a really nice marriage of "Eastern" and "Western" styles, for sure.
Dayyum.
