I like seeing in the first chapter (which happens 20 years in the future) that she still looks a little boyish and cute in her own way. I don't like it when a story starts with a woman having a non traditional "feminine looks" (for the lack of a better term) and then ends up conforming to the beauty standards by the end. She is still a strong knight who helped the emperor for 20 years and regardless of what happens after that, I'm satisfied. I don't expect her to always look like a knight if she becomes empress but her becoming meek and weak would be an issue for me. I hope that doesn't happen when the romance part starts
She won't become weak to him; he is going to fall for her strong self that follows him diligently. I see her only being slightly meek if she reciprocates his feelings in only small moments alone together. Like say, he wants to get it on and she's interested in something else at the time but he begs and flirts his way into her letting things go his way.
Pauli most likely would think he was joking if he proposed directly after that scene in the first chapter though. The emperor is definitely going to be the more romantic one. And I totally see her keeping her hair short even if she were to become the empress. Her body would change having a baby and it would be a toss up if she would retrain back up to that level or maintain a healthy figure.
