the author did it....they made me a huge fan of "masculine ukes who are new to bottoming" cringe so hard at this story. It felt like rape and technically it is rape since it's coercion by threatening the wellbeing of someone MC loves unless MC bottoms for ML...It is the least sexy thing I've seen in a while. It just highlights ML's convoluted desire to win despite everything. He just saw a cool successful guy who seemed naive and thought "yep, I want to drag him to my level and see him suffer because I'm a miserable fuck"

Not really. NanJo has a condescending attitude twds him. And while both SeonHwa n MokYeon are one and the same, (type of people) the one that took the flack is MokYeon. I'm not saying what MokYeon did is ok either but NanJo thinks highly of SeonHwa and worships him. He couldn't ever entertain the thought of his beloved SeonHwa as anything other than the image SH had given him. He's acting based on SH's motives, and not MY's, but he doesn't know that. So he blames MY, calling him trash to his face, and has a disgust and condescending attitude and look at him whenever they met up (for the three some). The con is SH putting up this front to reel him in. Then tries to change his preference, but bcz of that projected image he believes SH to be the pure n innocent one, while MY is the bad influence and SH wants him bcz he's a bad influence and prefers rough sex bcz of him.

The side stories better be full-on fluff or else!! Recently, mangakas have been displaying their trolling sadistic tendencies in side stories where they have full-on tragic or misunderstanding-filled convoluted plots.....no! We endure your shit in the main stories so that our reward is fluff in side stories.

It'S funny how "prim, proper, and noble (or nobility adjacent) characters can either be cool attractive and adorably naive or super annoying classist and holier than thou....no in between. I just love Lyle in this story because while he is somehwat detached from the reality of us common folks, he isn't super judgy and doesn't seem to look down on others. Whenever we get these moments in which he is a fluffy airhead, it's just fun to witness

I like that MC is composed and reasonable but I hate that for this story to end with the two of them together (which most likely will happen) MC needs to become dumber and less assertive at some point....so, I love the present version of him and kind of hate the future version of him that doesn't even exist yet in this timeline lol

I like her. I hate the emperor. Most likely I will continue to hate the emperor because I've almost never fallen for the "asshole worst father of the year turns out to have some reason to be a negligent parent and causing their child irreparable trauma" trope. I hate that this is a thing. I blame that story with the blond emperor father from a few years ago for popularizing this dumpster fire of a shitshow

I don't like ML at all. Even if his feelings for MC are sincere and the thing with MC's friend is a misunderstanding or whatever....he still causes problems and then acts like he did nothing wrong. Like what did he expect when he brought MC to that dinner? Just because you mister prosecutor are used to licking peoples' shoes to keep your position, it doesn't mean that MC, who has clearly been the exact opposite of that, needs to comply and behave in the same way. He sets up uncomfortable situations and then gets surprised when MC is just being himself.
Even the way he approaches MC is shady. He never clearly tells MC he has feelings for him yet expects MC to be honest. He keep playing games like attending the concert and hiding just to see MC being sad and desperate....
MC isn't perfect by any means but ML is super shitty
These stories resonate with me to such a deep level. While I have not and will never take any steps to ensure my own death, I'm not all that hyped about living either....I'm just like meh since I'M here might as well live. But if I went through the same things as MC I would be so done with life as well
