the worst kind of stories for me are not the garbage ones...it's ones like this that have good art, great premise and solid MC character but ruins it all with a shitty devolving plot, an irredeemable ML, and ruining MC's character until he is a weak submissive shell of his former self. This could've been so much more

I was hoping that Taekjoo wasn't going to be a dumbass since they hyped him up in the beginning but he is exactly that: a dumbass. I can deal with the fact that the author basically made Zhenya some invincible OP guy, but coupling that with a dumbass emotional MC who is too weak in comparison with the abnormally strong Zhenya is too cartonish

I never blamed MC for any choice he made in this. He was dealt awful cards from the get go and he used his only skill to get by. Then, this guy came along and forced him into a contract where he is constantly fighting for his life and living in perpetual anxiety because Taeha is a ticking time bomb on a good day. I do not even blame Hawon for going with Taeha 's cousin because Taeha never gave Hawon any assurance. He always acted like "one small mistake and off with your head". But now he is acting like a betrayed guy whose boyfriend cheated on him behind his back....bitch be for real!

To whoever is responsible for butchering this shit into chapters that span over a few panels and also mostly repeat what happened previously....I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you.

I really do not like waiting for a new chapter only for it to be the same previous events from another character's POV. If I'm binging a complete story and there are POV chapters retelling the same important events, I might like it, but waiting for a new chapter only to get a POV of a previous event is so reminiscient of the early days of Wattpad (haven't been on there for years so I don't know if that is still a thing or not)

Some novels/manga/manhwa/etc feel like rage bait...I feel like this is in the same category as those imbecile tiktokers who purposely mispronounce words or use products the wrong way to elicit a strong negative reaction from those who consume their content. This genre of manhwa feel like that but with more effort. Rather than a 2 minute video, it's a whole production to publish rage bait stories

the psyche of the seme is so interesting because it captures the essence of toxic people: they act like they're better than common folk who fall in love and commit to one person. Then, they meet someone that they perceive as out of reach. They start wantingsaid person but do they try to become worthy or them? nooooo that'd be too healthy for these assholes. They just want to drag the person to their level. Then, they supposedly "fall in love" and act like a victim because the person who never wronged them or promised them love didn't just jump into their arms. The penultimate stage of this mess is the self-pity and the realisation that they went about this the wrong way. That gives readers some hope that they might change but nope, the final stage is doubling down and making every wrong decision possible to isolate the subject of their obsession all in the name of love...

Tale as old as time...but hey, I haven't dropped this yet so, they must be doing something right (that thing being the art in this case)

So far I'm glad that her childhood friend isn't romantically in love with her. That trope gets too angst and it goes without saying that it is soooo repetitive

The only slightly likeable character is uke (buff uke not the annoying twink) but even he comes cross as super naive sometimes when talking about the twink. I hope season 2 makes seme ML a bit more likeable or else this will be a rough ride
