I love this couple more than words can describe. They are so romantic without ever saying the words "I love you" and the dirty talk is actually hot. The sex scenes do not twinkify Shingun. Jake got softer towards Shingun and opened up to him emotionally and it felt so natural because the author did a great job at character development. It's incredibly rare for me to read a 100+ chapter yaoi and feel like every chapter matters and the author isn't just milking it. I wish all yaoi were like this. I've read thousands of stories but only a handful make me truly joyful when I see an update

Despite the fact that Raphael is a criminal, normally, I would've said that he has every reason to feel betrayed because he fell in love with a guy who was sent to destroy him.....but Raphael raped Rowan and that's how their "relationship" started.

This whole thing is giving me a headache. Also, what happened to Rowan's revenge for thinking Raphael is responsible for his tragedy? I don't think that he ever learned anything that absolved Raphael of the blame so, he is frolicking around with the guy who, to the best of his knowledge, is responsible for ruining his life as a child.

This isn't the first story I read with a similar plot. If anything, I've seen this play out too many times. It's just that I wish the characters were more fleshed out. Rowan went from revenge to lusting over Raphael to loving him in 0.1 seconds. Same for Raphael, one second he was the big bad boss and the next he is blindsided by Rowan

If the author manages to make this take a romantic turn at some point without giving readers a whiplash, they deserve a reward. Even if they pull the good old "ML acts regretful and risks his life to save MC" bullshit, it won't work without ruining MC's character. He is someone who, so far, held the same strong belief for years. He didn't change after being confronted with how awful the world is. So, this will be a tough one for the author unless they drop the ball and just hope that we go with the flow and don't complain because *romance*

This is a personal preference but I don't love feminine ukes. If the story is good enough, I can overlook it but a manly strong omega uke cannot be beaten! I've started thinking lately that some beautiful art is wasted on some stories. The art in this one is so suited for a historical setting. The story itself was so promising in the beginning. But the second The author nerfed MC's character and turned him into a love sick puppy vying for the love of abusive ML...that's when this whole thing was ruined for me.

This story had such dark themes but also had some of the fluffiest purest moments ever. I'm glad that the author didn't add the "ML's family disapproves of MC and gives him hell" cliché because we had enough trauma already. The cutest moments are with the younger brother and grandparents.
