I've seen this plot so many times but I still love it and always look forward to the big reveal. I think that in my 20 years of reading manga, there has been maybe 2 stories max that actually surprised me by revealing that the servant is indeed the servant and not the master disguised as the servant.

I don't even remember which stories did this but in one of them the "servant" was hiding his identity but not as the master, just the master's relative (I think nephew?) and the actual master did not get angry because MC fell for ML and not his initial husband. I wish I could remember which story this was.

Sometimes I like a story but also wish for it to end because it gets tiring to read. This one is one of those. I like the characters and the plot but this is sucking my energy....

This story is making me hate Taeha more and more.....so, he sees the guy losing his mind and having a panic attack over a loved one's death and he just casually tells them that it's their fault basically that he didn't look for her and that is why she is dead. Also, I see Taeha apologists in the comment section talking as if Hawon was wrong for running away. Are you for real? When did Taeha ever give Hawon any reason to trust him? He kept pushing him and never giving him a single assurance. He clearly was after the wikileaks which is why Hawon wanted to still have leverage because once he hands them over then his life would be in danger...

I'm going to admit something: This story doesn't bother me because it is toxic, it bothers me because it is toxic AND the MC is just an innocent cutie pie. I have mulled over why some toxic stories do not bother me and I think that if both parties are kinda mental, it makes it okay...obviously in fantasy and not reality....but even in fantasy I cannot stand a toxic ML and an MC who can never and would never adapt to the toxicity. The example that I think of first when I imagine a toxic relationship that I ship is from the tv series Hannibal, I just shipped Hannibal X Will so hard and that shit was beyond toxic. If you know you definitely get what I mean.

Honestly black-haired ML is fucking annoying for keeping the ex around. He seems interested in MC but his actions towards his ex and how he can't seem to enforce any boundaries with him is just frustrating. In these stories usually MC is the hesitant one but MC made it clear to his ex that they don't have any future yet ML acts so wishy washy

I can tolerate a dumbass MC who doesn't think before they act if they are in highschool or something. But a full fledged adult who acts like a 5 year old, keeps doing the exact opposite of what he says he will do, and does not have a single working brain cell is just embarrassing. Even his tolder nephew is smarter than him like WTF is this?

I think that I read this when it was first released and it might have been my very first esperverse/guideverse story. At the time, nearly 4 years ago, I did not even realise that there was going to be an entire subgenre in yaoi called esperverse kinda like how isekai grew into a huge subgenre of shonen and shojo as well....It's so fun to look back on this after having read maybe around 30 stories in the esperverse

If all these messed up chapters were posted at the same time and the uploader were none the wiser, I would've understood the situation. But uploading chapters months apart and messing every single one is a special talent

So many awful characters from the guy who sat down next to MC and was later smoking and grumbling about that guy being a loser to the megane manager who definitely has an inferiority complex. I'm just glad that MC and ML are somewhat likeable....at least so far. Don't want to jinx it.

Rereading this, I still find myself enjoying the later parts of the story and the side stories but I think that the breakup came out of nowhere just because the author wanted to push the character towards confessing their feelings. Ash telling people that he and Lyle have no relationship whatsoever, supposedly because he didn't want Lyle to be involved in rumours before they even became something, is so silly. People had already seen Ash and Lyle together, and the rumours would only get worse after he told people they have no relationship whatsoever. Also, if that was the reason, why would he repeat that to Lyle when he asked him later? No one else was around, so he didn't have to say that. If the author wanted to break them up for a while to make Ash realize his feelings he could've just made Lyle confess and Ash tell him that he isn't sure what he feels towards Lyle....Boom, they're broken up.

I hope that the author eventually redoes this stories and actually develops it because it has potential and is worth 50+ chapters not 11

Listen, I completely forgive the bratty little kid. Actually, there is nothing to forgive since didn't kill that guide so, at most, he has been annoying and that is it. He has been getting in the way of MC and ML but he didn't do much and considering that he was literally created and indoctrinated to fulfill a purpose, I'd say he has done pretty good so far by not being a lunatic.
