There is something off about this story and I don't know what it is. It isn't even the "dark theme" because unfortunately I've read much much much darker stories. Something just bothers me. I wonder if it is the pacing or the constant switch between present and past events.....I can't put my finger on it

waaait....so, MC was in communication (and potentially even friends with) with ML's older brother, the one who just came back to the palace in the present timeline? Is this a setting for some weird love triangle or maybe ML's older brother will try to help MC as an old friend?

I think that at some point, the author lost control of the plot. I mean we all knew from the get-go that ML was kinda crazy but he did so well to hide everything and gain MCs trust and all that. It makes no sense for him to all of a sudden push MC to remember the past and cause the forever breakage of their tie. Not this ML who acted all cute in front of MC while wreaking havoc behind the scenes. You might say: He is tired of hiding who he truly is and wanted to bind MC to him......He could've bound MC to him by doing what he has been doing so far! MC was falling for him deeper and it did not cross his mind to break up with ML. If he was on the brink of doing that, ML's actions would've made sense because it would've been his last shot at keeping MC but dude ruined everything for no reason at all

I'm glad I gave this a shot because I almost skipped it due to it being set in yhe same universe as "kiss me, liar" and that story annoying me 99% of the time. I'm glad I didn't skip this because it does not have the elements I despise in omegaverse

I will end to dedicate some time to reading tbe novel next weekend because it feels like I'm missing a lot of context. Don't get me wrong, I think that in any yaoi MC and ML having sex in chapter 27 is long enough but it feels like we had a 24 chapters of tension and then we jumped straight to this. They're not even lusting after one another because of rut or heat, Chase, in particular, acts like he just found out that Josh is his long lost lover and he can't bear to stay away from him. It would've made sense if he remembered him but without that, it feels weird. I hope that the novel offers a lot more in-depth explanations

As long as ML didn't have anything to do with MC transitioning into an omega, I can see myself liking this story. But I've seen too many cases of ML's scheming to bring MC to despair for revenge or to make him weak and easy to manipulate and possess so, I'm always sideeying MLs in this type of plot

She was warned again and again that he will be coming after her. She knows that she freezes like a deer in headlights when she meets him. Yet, she didn't prepare, she remained somewhere he can easily find her, and even though the beast guy was with her he was useless. Is the author trying to make her seem as fragile and stupid as possible or something? Then, why make her so impressive in the beginning?

I get that she had trauma related to her family and cannot face them directly. But this is what planning is for. This is not even the forst time he appeared and she was told by relaiable characters that he will be back again but she wad a sitting duck with no protection

Yuck I hate obsessive fans. Even MC gives me huge second hand embarrassment but at least he was willing to back off and let the guy live his private life.

Maybe this is more prevalent with the youngest generations that has an unhealthy access to social media and content creators since an early age but I cannot imagine being like this. If anything, I believe that I don't want to know any more about the people whose content I watch than what they share willingly on their platforms.

I love that MC and her daughter intend to take revenge by first alienating the traitors from one another and then destroying them....starting with the father who started to look at the fake daughter with disdain then the mother who was betrayed by her own flesh and blood daughter....this is fun to see unfold.

I think that if this story were about a tough gangster mistaking thinking that a guy likes him and acting like they have mutual feelings...it would've been funny especially if gangster doesn't threaten MC but MC still doesn't outright reject him because he doesn't want trouble. I wish the sexual element was only introduced much later on when they actually loved each other. I would've enjoyed this if it had 40 chapters of funny misunderstandings but MC slowly starts liking the gangster.

But the way it is now is a bit off....like yes, there are funny moments for sure but overall, it's a bit icky
