At the beginning of the story, there were very few of us who liked Joowon, at least there were few who commented here and said theyre Team Joowon. I remember, back then most of the ppl were Team Taku, some ppl even got hate for liking Joowon cause apparently, Taku was "perfect" compared with the "toxic" Joowon, because he did this and that to Haesoo. And wow, look how the tides have turned. Ive been saying this over and over, before commenting, at least read a few more chapters, or better let the story finish first. Now I see comments saying Taku is manipulative, but I remember ppl saying that to Joowon before and that's the reason that they chose Taku over him.
Now Im not saying any of the characters are perfect. All of them are flawed and toxic at some point, but isnt that more realistic? All people have toxic traits, same with these characters. And if love is involved, Im sure those traits will show too. It's just a matter of who's better and worth putting up with. Or maybe it's just a matter of who you love.
I havent read it since forever cause I wanted it to finish first, I just came to see if there are "oOH thIS guY hAs LikE, 2 toXiC traiTs, cAncEl HIm nowW, peRiOdt" comments, and there arent many compared when the battle between the semes was ongoing.

The funny thing is Joowon was not manipulative. ppl kept saying he was playing around with haesoo when he wasnt. Readers antagonized him because Haesoo painted him like that with his narration and self victimizing, meanwhile we did not even know Joowon’s perspective and thoughts. Joowon genuinely loved Haesoo from the start and had good reason to keep their relationship ambiguous, even if he was wrong for it. Plus he actually apologizes and repents for his mistake a lot. Meanwhile Taku was genuinely manipulative and imo is still selfish in the latest chapters. I dont believe in cancelling him or whtv, but he is underdeveloped compared to Joowon lol

I haven't read the latest ch yet but my first impression of Taku was that he was ambiguous. It felt like he wanted Haeso but he didn't want a full-committed relationship with him, something more than sex friends but less than lovers, and even tho he wanted that, he still wanted to keep Haesoo all by himself. That's what I meant by "ambiguous". Idk if that's the case now but I agree with u, we haven't even seen Joowon's perspective yet at that time. I'm sure he was hurting too.

idk how far you've read, but taku's motivation for his relationship with haesoo was honestly for his work/self interest. he started growing really attached with haesoo later, when he never really planned it. i think he changed the most in that regard.
it's actually in the raws where he feels the most selfish to me. but yeah~ hope that gets translated soon!
The seme is one of the most beautiful character Ive seen in a while. The combination of dark skin, black hair and blue eyes is so pretty but not a lot of artist use it. The body and face proportions themselves are pretty too thats why any skin/hair/eye color combination is pretty. Love it!
