MC's basically a demigod, and has his own personal kingdom and army. And...the manga has been about nothing but educating students, random stuff like cooking and talking to people, and peacefully growing his pocket dimension kingdom.

The manga showed promise at the start. Powerful guy cast aside by the world's god. Him uniting the monster races. Stuff like that. And it all just turned into a "slow life" type of story. What a waste of potential...

Sung Jinwoo might have been the ultimate solo badass, but his son follows a more ideal path. One where he doesn't take on everything by himself. Instead he will help his allies to become stronger through his shadow equipment. He still maintains authority, as he can take that equipment away at any time. But this is what a proper king should be. Someone who leads allies to victory, not someone who takes everything on by himself.

Ì guess "the power of friendship" as a plot point still goes strong in eastern comics. I thought we had moved past that by now. Shirone met this woman ONCE for a little bit in a bar, yet he somehow "cares so much" about her? What? And the way he won the fight was, quite literally, by friendship? First, what friendship? They barely know each other! And how does anyone realistically go from "I'm going to kill you!" to "You're our savior now, here let us help with everything!" because of a fucking hug?

I really hope this was a one-off as a plot point...

This is literally "the power of friendship" bullshit. Like, does anyone reading this manga really still like such a corny and naive ending? What's worse is that Shirone is so emotional about this woman. Yet the only "connection" they have is a single conversation at a bar a while ago. Why the hell would anyone even care so much about someone else after one conversation, that they'd "forgive" all the terrible things this woman has done?

Yea no this isn't working...

--I thought "gravity user" could get really inventive and would be an interesting power but nope. MC mostly just uses it to be fast, strong, stand on the ceiling, and sometimes fire off an energy blast. (No idea how gravity magic is supposed to give you energy blast powers but whatever.) Wtf is up with that incredibly unimaginitive way of using gravity.
--This manga falls into ALL of the tired isekai manga tropes. The Koreans and Chinese do these "real life turned into a game with dungeons" way better. Plus all of the major characters, as is cliché in most Japenese manga, are teens doing an adult's job.
--Every villain has the exact same motivation. "Build my wealth/reputation at all cost, even if I have to sacrifice others or doing so causes the situation to only get worse and worse." They're all complete idiots who ignore even the danger to their own lives because "this is my chance to make a name or earn money!"
--This is in the modern age...why are they all wearing typical flashy fantasy outfits when none of it is stat boosting equipment?
-The world, and dungeons, don't do logic. It's clear the author isn't thinking about any logic behind anything at all. All he's doing is creating what he thinks are cool scenarios, making sense be damned.
--Of course in these mangas the MC is always the cool guy who beats the big bad. But for some reason Japanese ones, especially in Isekai, take it to an annoying level. And that's no different here. MC is always cool and collected, says he's struggling but is never "really" struggling, always saves the day while his allies are mostly cheering him on from the sidelines, without any romantic development has his exclusively female allies fawn over him, etc. As some other comment alluded to, he's like Kirito 2.0.

And the list goes on...

I've now seen several of these chinese webtoons where the MC is unparalleled but has no clue. And everyone just keeps fawning over him as a peerless master while he explains it all away as coincidence.

And I don't get it. It's supposed to be comedy but to me it's just annoying. Is this what Chinese humor is like? It's weird imo.

I personally really like the concept. It think it's sorta fun, the idea of being overpowered yet unaware of how much youre impacting the enviornment and people around u, so to eachs own I guess. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
What sorta concepts r u more into?

More along the lines of the regressor stories I guess. Especially the ones where the MC takes no shit from anyone and focuses on his (because I haven't found a female led one yet) goal to prevent a terrible future. Basically the exact opposite. As in "I know I'm more powerful than others and will use it to save the world."

Ah. I'm not a big fan of that troupe. They always start so good and then the Mc sometimes gets overconfident or too reliant on their memory or power or something, and or there is a very unnecessary romance that feels forced and inauthentic to the mc's character.
Like it makes no sense y he likes her or she's basically dead weight and fan service type deal with a bad character. Like they depict strong women weirdly compared to the Mc and his gang or something. It happens so often in that troupe that I can't stand it.

Sanquin October 6, 2025 12:49 pm

Why the hell did the MC and co just explain their whole plan to the bad guy? Like what the hell? Keeping him confused would have been so much more advantageous...

And people thinking magic classes are weak and pointless is laughable. Every single person who's played RPGs knows that yes, magicians start out weak. But at later levels they're often far more powerful than melee classes. Because they get access to defensive spells, and can easily stay and attack at range. Not to mention the utility in being able to do all kinds of different spells, rather than only being able to attack with a weapon.

I know it's just the premise for the story, but still...that's a hard one to believe. xD

So much hate for the artist's style. I personally like it. It's unique.

Second time it shows up in my "updates" only for there to be no real update. (Third time in total.) Just friggin' stop it already... -_-

Sometimes it may takes a few hours for the chapters to show up after the notification
