I am so glad Baram did not end up with SJ. I somewhat liked him in season 1 (even though he needed a lot of character development even back then) But since season 2 he has been nothing but pushy, forceful and unable to accept rejection. To him his feelings mattered more than Baram's feelings and happiness. So many people liked him better because he would push Baram out of her comfort zone but his intention has always been to get her to date him and never her well being.
I am sick and tired of those "I hate everyone but you", " I can fix him" trope. Like almost every single webtoon has a ML like that. So it's really nice to see the guy who has been supporting Baram since day 1 gets to end up with her.
Her relationship with SY wasn’t too sudden imo. And I think a lot of people missed why Baram decided to date SY. It's because she is much more happy when she is with him (Author hinted this with hee makeup faceplants that are always happy when it’s with SY but always unhappy when it’s SJ)

Ignoring the orientalism and racism, this manhwa is 10/10!! The sibling relationship between Roselyn and Calyx is so wholesome!!

i don’t really think you should go as far as to call it racism……you do know that poc CAN be the bad guys too right? and the story doesnt even say anything about their skin color; they just happen to be brown. if they were painted as “savages” then i’d say it was racism but they’re literally royalty???

No need to argue with these people. Nowadays people are too critical and everything becomes a matter of some sort of discrimination (racism, sexism etc)
I remember a meme/image I saw where the following happened.
Picture: Black guy killing white man
People: That's Racist! Why is the black guy a villain?!
Picture: White man killing black man
People: That's Racist! Why is the black guy getting shot?!
Picture: Black man killing another black man
People: That's Racist! Why is it only black people killing each other?!
Picture: White man killing another white man
People: That's Racist! Why are there no Black people in this movie?!
For people, everything now becomes racism lol.

Racism is an oppression of a race, while stereotype is describing a group as having the same characteristics, i.e., behavior, beliefs, etc. OTOH, prejudice is an opinion/feeling formed without adequate knowledge, thought or reason.
I get your point though! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ Besides, these stories always depict a group (race, gender, ethnicity, religion, etc.) in a negative light in one way or another. That’s the world we live in… be it television, manga, news, entertainment, and so on!
