I think at the beginning she tried eating right and working out but they didn't work; there are some people who are genetically predisposed to be be more plump than others which makes it a lot harder to change （￣へ￣）
I agree with B. Its a lot harder to change than what others say. A diet is permanent life change, its not for a day and if you fail that diet (after succeeding for a while) it can easily make you fatter. So exercise more..... as if that will help some but a gain its permanent, if you aren't willing to forma habit its a waste of time. so cut back food.... how much, would be more reasonable and for how long. Losing weight isn't a walk in the park.
Also we don't know if she got fat or if she's genetically fat. And besides in the old days being fat was a sign of wealth and fat women (I think) had better pregnancy success rate (or so I heard)
I'm more upset that's she's being as mean as her family, than her not trying to lose weight.
