I'm not sure if it's the translation or the huge blocks of text on the first few chapters but I don't understand anything at all haha. Does it get better?
the translator did good. it’s just the overall storyline is kinda confusing. it does get better. i also took me a bit to understand. especially the timeline is messy too like it’s historical but then they have cars and phone??? soooo

On another note - this story was absolutely fantastic. This and Where the dragon rain falls are just so nuanced and beautiful. Kinda goes to show we're all going to play everyone role in life. Be if the hero, a victim, the villian, the wisdom, a friend or a saviour. I guess this story shows we're all the main characters - our destiny is our own.
This is a story about trying to do the best on can in dangerous world where the path ahead is always murky and never certain.
It makes the character nuanced, sometimes good and kind, often times bad and selfish. No one person has a simple goal - and that's why I love this story.

I feel so bad for MC, he's still not going in with the attitude of "I'm gonna try fuck you up for what you did to my family". He's gone in with the attitude of finding out the ~truth~. But the truth is this dude fucked you over, in reality there isn't more to it.
The unbridled chaotic energy that is this couple and their extended family is everything to me
