And ik it's still very early but I appreciate how the story's giving so much attention and character to the villains.
I never found a FL this boring tbh, ik she'll be fine since she's dragging all the relevant men into her fishtank already (and default dancing through the trouble so far).
Give me more of the weirdly capable but delulu white lotus bitch who's pulling funny faces. I hope she'll be more than just the rotten apple and root of all evil.

Nah that ain't gonna be his mom, 100%. The guy who followed them also got some crazy black tresses, so my guess is it's another dude like that if not the same one.

100% the author is setting this guy up to be the main pov to get his own love interest next season. If it's anything else these past chapters become giga useless...

Or he's gonna become the ultimate gay cockblocker villain out of sheer spite for ML. He'll be meta af spamming us readers with sob stories of his generally successful life so none of us get to see our homeboys anymore.

In moments like this I'm always hoping, praying on my knees, that FL aims right where it hurts and spits out a "Diana? So what's your actual name?". Like stop playing by their rules and be a snake right back. Sure maybe that puts a target on her back, but baby girl is already point and center anyway.

FL is giving doormat vibes atm, I hope this won't turn into this thing where ML constantly white-knights her instead of her becoming an independant person.

I'd like to think someone came up with this after reading trash of the count's family, as like an AU fanfic lmao

A simple cute story, 10/10.

Alexei lives with 'Pie' for 3 years during his childhood, a green skinned frog-like young woman with a heart of gold, and came to love her only to see her be killed by the knights who came to rescue him from the supposed cursed forest. He returns to his position as prince and then Emperor, heartbroken by what happened and gets a cruel reputation as "the demon Emperor".
20 years later he meets Pie again as Eleonora, daughter of a Marquis and recognizes her thanks to her affinity for beasts and her destinct accent.

The plot is simple and doesn't beat around the bush, which is increasingly rare within the shoujo genre.
You're here to see Pie & Ham reunite and be cute together and that's what you get. Every plot point or point of interest gets closure like Pie's reincarnation, her green skin, the forest, and Eleanora's family. I wouldn't mind more chapters with ML and FL being cute together or more lore about the forest, but I appreciate how concise it all is none the less. You can read the whole thing in an hour and walk away with a wholesome, warm feeling your empty heart.

I'm glad that Squal is trying to man up and face the music, but I find it hard to forgive him for his cowardice/inaction tbh. Like, generally being a coward is fine, he doesn't have to be Superman or anything, but the issue with his cowardice and inaction is that Mag had to pay the price for it. I do feel a similar way towards how Magaret used to be too.

I wouldn't feel this way about Squal specifically if the dad straight up forced him to trick/kill Mag with that said.
Sure, Squal was lied to, but it would've been so easy to just check out what the potion was. The plan was to kidnap her, that's criminally sus by itself and not a thing you just follow up on bc daddy told you there was no other option.

I do realize they're people, they were kids with flaws and bla (and I love this manhwa for this type of depth), it's not like I hate them or whatever it's just that I'm deeply disappointed and jaded by this (our) type of culture and power structure that allows lethally unfit people to sit up top while everyone else down that ladder has to bear the weight of their incompetence. In the end it is truly the shady dad who's at fault for all of this.

Her saying how they have to die so she can save "everyone" is hypocritical af. It's nothing but an excuse to justify her own greed for power, she couldn't care less about saving anyone.

I can't help but feel like the narrative is trying to make ML look like he's at fault for not noticing he's being crushed on and being dense in that regard - am I tripping? Big emphasis on trying btw, because in the end it just looks like homeboy can't grow a pair and get over it.

Lowkey praying that his wife is a 6'2 bodybuilder just as delulu as him who will drag him back home by the hairs if needed, and confine and punish his ass - literally if you catch my drift.
Not saying I'd volunteer for that kinda wifey position but someone has to teach him a lesson, right?

I like that FL got demons tbh. With this historic industrial revolution setting it's all very grim, very on theme here.

I respect this manga (and the novel) for how it's going about the whole isekai holy maiden trope. It adds politics into the mix and gives the situation more perspective than in the "old school" isekai scenario.
