I understand what you mean but I think the fact that she’s still a high schooler plays a huge part and also how we, the readers, view it in a logical way and see them as characters, I side with you too cause like she’s unnecessary, but we can think like that cause we view them as characters but if we viewed them as humans who we grew up with for years it might be a bit harder, so that’s why I’m a bit more forgiving with our MC but I still want Asahi gone

I like his personality because he’s gotten more open and ‘gentle’ with our cutie FL compared to his first appearance. We see his gentle side and his concerned side with Aideen (i thought it would be Aidin bc of the title).
They have a fun chemistry and she’s getting more comfortable around him which is nice to see. And she’s also a badass woman who can dominate and doesn’t let others suppress her. But she is definitely showing him more of her vulnerable side
Read up to chapter 80 and was feeling disappointed and dissatisfied with how the pace and how things were going. Planning to drop it which is disappointing bc this had a lot of potential.
Saw some spoilers and yeah, makes me sad. The emperor deserves someone who can and will love him but I can’t believe how oblivious?? and dense she is. I guess I sort of understand since she doesn’t see him in that romantic light but you’d think by 80/90 chapters there would be some sort of development.
I like long stories so picked this up but it ended up just being very slow paced and I see that’s what some people like but this is unbelievably slow imo. Someone mentioned it being realistic but yea, not my cup of tea sadly.
