Also, rating the story low for not having intense smut is just . I understand some readers like things with smutty scenes but to base your ratings largely on that? You need to re evaluate your criteria.
Anyway, this story is pretty wholesome and cute! Definitely worth reading if you want something light and fluffy after a stressful day.

Nah, let's not pretend that smut isn't one of the biggest drivers for gaining readers in BL. There have been lots of subpar stories that still obtain high ratings and readership because of the presence of sex scenes. Some people even confess sticking around despite the plot being all over the place just for the smut. On the other hand, good mangas like this are left to collect dust because they lack the plap plap plap factor.

Looking at their other comments, I don't think they low rate something just because something doesn't have smut, they gave other shounen ai 5/5. i think they were just pointing out this is a shounen ai with no smut because this is tagged as a yaoi.
Isn't that a telling sign why the low rating? It was tagged as yaoi despite the lack of smut. I do think that influenced their rating in some way.
I love the author's other beastmen story Ookami-sama no Koiwazurai! I'm glad they're making more of it! Their beastmen leads are endearingly attentive and soft in their own way despite being rough around the edges.
Can someone tell me if it involves cheating, please? I've seen the first few pages and it seems like the mc is currently not with the love interest. I just want to know what to expect if I read this.
As of now theres no cheating (up to the current chapter), and from my gut feelings theres probably none in the story though im not 100% sure since i dont have the physical copy. Although from the way the story is going, i cant say who the mc will end up with (i sure do hope its not the married old friend tho)

Yeah, I feel like he's just curious about them and trying to test the waters to confirm his gut feel about the relationship between the mc and love interest.
If the misunderstanding is cleared up, I feel like he will be one of the trusted friends of the two, who is willing to lend an ear whenever they have love troubles.
But then again, that's just my guess because I'm biased towards the guy. I really like his vibes lol.
