You'd think for a story depicting a couple with a large age gap, the author would do their best to show us that "age doesn't matter blah blah", instead, they really went the opposite way of showing us exactly why age does matter. At first it's cute, then later on it's revealed that all the things the ml did was to manipulate the situation on his favor.
Anyways, I'd just turn a blind eye to that cuz it's still engaging but damn it, ml is really making it hard lmao. Also, the feeling of hopelessness mc has got me tearing up. It's my top weakness in stories lol I can take tragedy and loss but when it feels like there's nothing else that can salvage a situation I cry. He's doing his absolute best to stand confidently by his side but it's never gonna be enough. The age gap really plays such an important part fck. Mc is too young and too naive while mc is too experienced and aware of how to weaponize said experience. Cut out the parts where ml reveals his plans and it'll be fcking wholesome ohmygod ignorance truly is bliss.

This is why I love this author. Even if it is a slowburn, she never does that oblivious/tsundere bs. They are always flirting and they always know exactly where they stand (they maybe slow in getting there but they dont have unncessary complications and misunderstandings for no reason)

I thought it will be a typical fantasy where the details of the world was left to the imagination of the audience and previously established tropes but the author actually did really awesome world building!!! I also love the fact that the difference between status and races was made clear. Like, nobles are basically government officials, they have a heavy responsibility with lives depending on them. The elves were also not humans, it was established that they have different values and beliefs. I must admit I got so fcking tired of how soooo many stories made them like the difference was just the ears ohmygod. So much potential wasted just for the aesthetic lol. It's the small things like this that makes up a great world building and the author did amazing with this one.
This is a solid read with amazing plot, characters and execution. Tbh I just wanted a cute father-daughter duo sorry but I'm glad I got more than that.
(It's so sad how something that should be a foundation of a story was usually overlooked. World building was a favorite of mine too so quite a lot really tested my patience lmao)
Holy sht their chemistry is so fcking good ugh they are one of the best couples I read, and I read a ton of love stories. This romance arc is definitely one of my favorites in this story. Gongja learned a lot about love here and it also addressed one of the things I was stressing over.
(I see you nonbelievers but this arc is so important for the next few arcs to come. I also hate romance in action manwhas but only because it was handled so bad. The author did well with Gongja and Raviel tho. There's actual Chemistry between them and Raviel is such a great character. I love her!!!!
