I made a mistake of reading the comments before going into the 2nd season and made some nasty assumptions about Gabriel and Raphael, ESPECIALLY about Colin. But the way i see it, they're all unlikeable characters from the very start; they all have their own faults and flaws. In the end, Colin was the only one who rose through it all. I love that this author didn't write Colin as a conventional bottom who'd see the top's manipulation as a form of love or let another top's apology sway him from getting to the bottom of everything. More importantly, author wrote him as an individual with boundaries and a sense of introspection. Gabriel did not have any of those; he's mentally unstable. But traumas don't give you a pass to be an asshole and then play the victim when your plan falls through. I really hope they do but i've come to learn that it'll only come back to bite you in the ass one way or another. Anyone would love Gabriel and Raphael; they play the wounded and misunderstood leading males very well but clearly, Colin was having none of that glorified white pile of shit. And i'm here for that.
If there's anyone that i've come to genuinely hate by the end of it, it's their parents. Author-nim really went all out with their writing in the 2nd story. Now, that's what you called psychological. Edit: psychological bls doen't need to have a thriller or suspense undertone

wtf fanfic writers predicted this right down to the smallest fucking detail years ago- what the actual fuck god, i'm still devastated by the emotional abandonment guan shan didn't expect himself to feel every time he tian left without a word in those fics. And jian yi also left so pretty much everyone was an angsty mess.

Look me in the fucking eyes and tell me human form Banam doesn't look like Nanami Kento

I mean if you look at their names, it's like the author replaced the 'n' from nanami with a 'b' then removed the 'i' to not make it too obvious. It's not uncommon for authors to do that when they design a character based from another character in a similar field so makes really me wonder if the author designed banam after nanami

I see someone here comparing it to nekoboys/werewolves and they don't see why people are still bothered by this. Correct me if i'm wrong: neko boys/girls are fetishism of cat appendages and mannerisms while werewolves is the fetishism of the lycan/werewolf lore. This BL, on the other hand, is drawing our attention to the differences of the psychology between a human and an animal- specifically, of the pet's and his owner's. Jonggu is not a dog anymore but still has the mind of one. Euncheol sees and treats him as his pet dog but it's another story altogether in bed since Jonggu can fuck him with his human dick and he knows Jonggu will gladly give it to his master. He explicitly stated that Eunchol is his dear puppy, best friend, AND fuckbuddy. So far, those three are mutually exclusive and circumstantial to him; he’s defined Jonggu and by extension, their relationship in the long run. I think people are mostly bothered by the not not-bestiality and the power imbalance between the two. I don't think Euncheol is fetishising Jonngu being a former dog (or still-a-dog-mentally). And frankly, it's all just fascinating to me because the author is deliberately heading towards a minefield to disable the said minefield.
